Owl City - Final Night of World Tour

Owl City and opening act Mat Kearny ended thier world tour last night in St. Paul, MN at Roy Wilkins Auditorium. It was a fitting end for Owl City's Adam Young who has spent the last year and a half trotting around the globe in support of his debut album Ocean Eyes and his just released new album All Things Bright and Beautiful. The track "Fireflies" off his debut album has gone quadruple platinum and hit number 1 in 27 different countries. When released last month... All Things Bright and Beautiful debuted at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

Kearney's latest album, Young Love, is set to be released in just days and the first single, "Hey Mama" is already heating up the airwaves this summer.

I'll have my exclusive interview with Owl City next week on In The Mix With HK. Until then...enjoy these photos from last nights tour finale.

This Week On In The Mix With HK

What happens when you take a mega pop female country star and the latest mega male pop singer/songwriter/producer? You get a colaboration between Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars. Word is the young Miss Swift is hot  to work with the Hawian Hunk.

Speaking of killer hot artistic collaborations...You have got to see the new adventurous music video "All Is Not Lost" put together by Ok Go and Pilobolus. If your using Google Chrome as your internet browser click on the following link http://goo.gl/p6RTQ to see the special In The Mix With HK version of the video.

Coming up on In The Mix With HK I've got a slammin' remix of Bruno's "Lazy Song" complete with a new hip-hop beat and a little cutting and slicing. Wait to you hear Hot Chelle Rae's "Tongiht Tonight" - this time taking an uptempo approach with a whole new vibe. And I'm gonna breath some new life into Beyonce's "Best Thing I've Never Had".  I promise it may be the best version you'll ever hear.

I've also got the latest from David Guetta..."Where Them Girls At"the brand spanking new jam from Pitbull & Mark Anthony entitled "Rain Over Me", a mindblowing remix on Martin Solveig and Dragonette's "Hello", and a brand new reworking of Rihanna's "California King Bed". Speaking of Rihanna (aren't we always) she just passed over Lady Gaga to become the most liked female musician on Facebook. Just a few more likes and she'll take the number one spot still held by Eminem

I'll be hangin' with Owl City this weekend as they close thier US Tour and I'll have a special exclusive interview for next week. Remember…”If it’s hot, if it’s new and it makes you wanna move – you’re In The Mix with HK”™.

This Week On In The Mix With HK

Katy Perry and Adele both continue their quest for world domination by cinching up the most MTV VMA noms. And they certianly have been dominating my time on the decks and in the studio.

Coming up on In The Mix With HK I've got a killer reworking of Katy's "Last Friday Night", Jason Derulo's dance floor anthem "Don't Wanna Go Home"  and I"m gonna blow your mind with what's been done to Coldplay's "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall". And I know it doesn't seem possible...but YES...I've got an all new smokin' hot remix on Adele's "Rolling In The Deep". This one comes down in tempo and has got a bangin groove with some great turntableisam

I've also got the latest from everyone's favorite Pussycat Doll - Nicole Scherzinger..."Right There"Avril Lavgine's "Smile" and you'll have to bust out some new moves when you hear this pumped up and fortified version of "Stereo Hearts" by the Gym Class Hereos w/Adam Levine. What you MUST NOT MISS is the opening of the show and my Charlie Sheen inspired transistion from LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" to "Don't Stop The Party" by The Black Eyed Peas    . Charlie's back baby! He's got a new tv sitcom and he's In The Mix With HK.

That’s just a taste… I can’t reveal all, so you’ll just have to tune in and come with me behind the velvet rope. Remember…”If it’s hot, if it’s new and it makes you wanna move – you’re In The Mix with HK”™.

This Week On In The Mix With HK

Avril Lavigne said it best with her last single..."What The Hell" and her current single "Smile" certainly isn't what's happening in the Beyonce' family household. Apparently when her dad gave up the gig has her one and only career manager - the split wasn't amicable as first reported. Miss B claims he was stealing money from her and he claims it's a falsehood started by Live Nation (the concert touring company), who wanted him out of the picture from her world tour. When they went their separate ways Beyonce said how proud she was to take control of her career. Well one things for sure. Her new album is 3 singles deep with no sign of a hit, despite all the money spent on videos and promotion. And the reaction to her album - even from her label executives - is let's just say...not what one expects from this iconic pop star. Is Miss B up to the task of handling her own business? Wonder what Jay-Z has to say.

Speaking of business...I've been in the lab on the ones and twos. Get yourself ready to sweat and I'm not talking about this weekends heat index. Coming up on In The Mix With HK I've got "You Make Me Feel Good" from Cobra Starship. A killer track we first broke on our show. The new hot one burning up the airwaves and dancefloor "She Ain't You" from Chris Brown. Did you catch him on the Today Show this morning? This version is on fire.

I've also got Jason Derulo's thumper "Don't Wanna Go Home", a new reworking on Tinie Tempah's "Written In The Stars", and you'll be koo koo for coco puffs when you hear my remixes on The Band Perry, Lupe Fiasco and Katy Perry.

That’s just a taste… I can’t reveal all, so you’ll just have to tune in and come with me behind the velvet rope. Remember…”If it’s hot, if it’s new and it makes you wanna move – you’re In The Mix with HK”™.

Coming Up This Weekend On The Show

What’s up party people? Right on the heels of Adele canceling tour dates, Katy Perry was forced to cancel her weekend shows due to food poisoning. That means all you folks in the Twin Cities and the Windy City are gonna have to wait till August. I'm bumming cause I was looking forward to hangin with the lovely Miss Perry on Saturday.

Have no fear cause I'm still here - watching what I eat though.

This weekends show is bangin' like last weeks fireworks. I can’t wait for you to hear my latest remix on Jessie J‘s “Price Tag”, and I found "Where Them Girls are At".  Their chillin with David Guetta/Flo Rida/Nicki Minaj and me. Wait to you peep out this new mix. You'll also hear a new HK remix on Neon Trees "Your Surrender". And that's all just part of the first set.

On our musical journey there's more HK mixes on The Band Perry "If I Die Young", Pitbull/Ne Yo "Give Me Everything" and the hot new jam from Cobra Starship "You Make Me Feel Good". I’ve also reworked Bruno MarsLazy Song”. I know I cracked your cranium with last weeks remix but with this track showing no signs of going away this summer I had to go back in the lab and pump it up with a new twist once again. This mix is SLAMMIN'. Check it out and then hit me up to tell me what you think.

That’s just a taste… I can’t reveal all, so you’ll just have to tune in and hang with me in the booth. Remember…”If it’s hot, if it’s new and it makes you wanna move – you’re In The Mix with HK”™.
