Bieber Fever In The Mix with HK

Bieber fever escalated into a full-scale epidemic in Norway yesterday. The Biebes was preparing to perform a free concert from the top of the Oslo Opera House and tens of thousands of his closest friends turned out. The streets of the Scandinavian country's capital city were flooded with fans when the mob started chasing a car believed to be transporting the teen idol to the concert. It isn't hard to imagine the ear piercing shrill of young girl screams in a frequency that I'm sure was upsetting to Oslo residents and certainly the Norwegian dog population. A spike in mobile phone usage, also caused by the event, briefly halted cellular service in the city.  In true teen idol obsession style, a reported 15 girls passed out from the shear Beiberness of the event. Things escalated when the crowd ignored police warnings. Just when the officials were about to declare a state of emergency the pre-pubescent looking boy wonder tweeted his fans a request to "listen to the police" and saved the day. And all of this good stuff can be seen in, you guessed it, an upcoming Bieber special "Justin Bieber All Around the World". The special will follow the singer on his 12-day, seven-country promo tour. It is scheduled to air at 8pm June 21 on NBC.

If you don't have time to see the Biebers at his next stop in Paris you can hear his hit "Boyfriend" mixed and remixed to epidemic HK proportions this weekend on "In The Mix with HK". Adding to the list of wicked custom HK remixes is Carly Rae Jepsen- "Call Me Maybe", Gotye featuring Kimbra- "Somebody That I Used To Know", Gym Class Heroes featuring Ryan Tedder - Fighter, Rihanna- "Where Have You Been", Fun featuring Janelle- "We Are Young", and Maroon 5 / Wiz Khalifa- "Payphone".

And that is just getting the party started. Get "In The Mix with HK" this weekend for a non-stop groove fest.

Remembering Donna Summer

This Weekend In The Mix with HK

The music industry is rocking the Forbes Celebrity 100 list with six singers in the top ten. The list which is compiled of film and TV actors, models, athletes, authors, TV personalities, musicians and comedians is based on money and fame. Numero uno on this years top 100 is Jennifer Lopez. She has never even smelled the bottom of this list in the past but her reincarnation of fame has catapulted her to the top of the Celebrity 100. With her gig on American Idol, media attention from her split with Marc Anthony (that's sad), endorsements deals with L'Oreal and Gillette, a clothing line at Kohl's, a top selling fragrance and hit records Miss Lopez is BACK with a vengeance!

J-Lo is not only rocking the Forbes Celebrity 100, her new hit "Dance Again" with Pitbull will be blowin up on "In The Mix with HK™" this weekend. Not to dis the other celebs on the list I'll be killin' it with custom HK remixes on Rihanna - "Where Have You Been", Adele - "Rumor Has It", and "Boyfriend" by the Biebs.

Once I start remixing the decks won't stop. Look out for a killer remix of Usher - "Scream", Calvin Harris and Ne-Yo - "Let's Go", Gavin Degraw - "Sweeter"and Daughtry - "Outta My Head". That's right…I'm putting my own personal spin on the hard rockin' Idol alum. And if that's not enough to send you into a sonic frenzy, make sure you check out my wicked HK remix on One  Direction - "What Makes You Beautiful". Plus a brand new take on Gotye - "Somebody That I Used To Know".

"In The Mix with HK™" will get the party started so tune in, turn it up, lock it down and rip the knob off.

This Weekend In The Mix With HK

Is there no end to the excitement surrounding musical competition reality TV? I don't think so!

Let's begin with "The Voice". Who could avoid the two day finale when Christina (why doesn't anybody like me) Aguilera, gives us so much to talk about. We all know Christina has one of the best voices out there today, but why was she attacking contestant Tony Lucca and Adam Levine all season? Why is Levine ripping off his shirt to reveal a "Team X-tina" T shirt when he really wanted to be wearing an "X-tina Sucks" shirt. Then we have Christina's bold fashion choices -  were those silver studded hot pants or bikini bottoms that she was wearing? Are those hotkini's a new look or a costume malfunction? I'm no fashion critic but I think the fish net stockings were a nice added touch to the ensemble. Someone making this much money and starring on one of the highest rated shows on television could certainly afford a stylist. And if she has one, do what Trump would do and say…"your fired". Oh yeah,  and somewhere after the Aguilera / Levine / Lucca drama and performances by Hall & OatesLady AntebellumFlo Rida and Justin Bieber..... Jermaine Paul was named the winner.

"American Idol" is still going strong. Before all of their finale fun Jennifer Lopez will be taking the stage to perform her new single "Dance Again". Then, for the big "American Idol" finale on May 23rd,  Rihanna will be performing "Where Have You Been," her fifth single from "Talk That Talk" which re-entered the Hot 100 at No. 78 last week. I love Rihanna and everyone knows that she is a huge audience pleaser, but if "American Idol" execs are planning on topping "The Voice" season finale ratings ......I suggest they stage a  hair pulling cat fight between Miss Lopez and the Barbadian pop star. Now that would be some interesting reality TV. I'm just sayin.

Season two of the "X Factor" hasn't even begun but while their competition was in full swing they managed to stay in the headlines with speculations of new judges. Rumors continue to circulate that Miley Cyrus and  Demi Lovato are contenders. And fiiiiiiinally, It has been confirmed by E! that Britney Spears has signed her contract to be an "X Factor" judge. However, a spokesperson for the show refused to confirm and Fox has no comment. That's a surprise!!!

I'll tell you what isn't a surprise- In The Mix with HK is gonna blow your speakers up. Get ready for killer HK remixes on Maroon 5 feat. Wiz Khalifa- "Payphone", Rihanna- "Where Have You Been", Usher- "Scream", Justin Bieber- "Boyfriend" and B.O.B- "So Good". You'll have just enough time to hydrate and then I'm gonna remix the *%$* out of Carly Rae Jepsens track "Call Me Maybe", Gotye - "Somebody That I Use To Know"  and Fun - "We Are Young".

Of course there's so much more, but you'll have to tune in to get the full sonic blast.

This Weekend In The Mix with HK

Unlike X-Factor who is struggling with ratings and having serious celebrity judging issues for their next season, musical competition reality TV is blowing up as the finales are knocking at the door.  The Voice is getting busy planning a mind blowing season finale with Flo Rida performing "Wild Ones", Lady Antebellum singing "Wanted You More", Hall and Oates taking the stage with "Rich Girl" and to top things off teen Icon Justin Bieber will be there to perform his new single "Boyfriend". The star studded two hour season finale of "The Voice" will air on Tuesday, May 8th. Not to be outdone, the American Idol season finale is just around the corner as they will crown the 11th (that's right I said 11th)  "American Idol" on May 23rd. Whether you are an Idol or Voice fan one thing is for sure, these shows will help churn out the next wave of pop music stars.

This week I will be mixing up today's stars into my own musical smorgasbord. Oh yeah... I will be coming in hot with custom HK remixes of Flo Rida- "Wild Ones", Gotye -  "Somebody That I Used To Know", Chris Brown- "Turn up the music", Katy Perry- "Part of Me" and Jennifer Lopez- "Dance Again".

Then just when your thinkin your speakers never sounded so good I'll be hittin you up with wicked HK remixes of The Biebs- "Boyfriend", Nicki Minaj-"Starships",  and B.O.B- "So Good". But wait....There's even more hits and killer jams so tune into In The Mix with HK this weekend.
