New Year, new beginnings, new expectations and as always this time of year… predictions for what may come. Here are a few of my faves. Rolling Stone says, Rihanna will sell out stadiums with her 2016 tour and her loooong-awaited Anti  album will actually be released. They feel the use of Holograms in concerts will go bust but EDM is here to stay. Forbes says,  Taylor Swift will double her past years earnings. With Taylor grossing about $4 million a show, expect her to hit South America and more of Europe for earnings close to $200 million. Other predictions suggest Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will get back together… at least for a collab. and Kanye will fiiiiiiiinally release his new album. One thing I can predict for sure is this week’s show is off…the…hook!

Its New Year’s weekend and that means it’s a serious P-A-R-T-Y! I’m gonna be slaying the decks with exclusive HK remixes on Elle King, Jason Derulo, Flo Rida, Adele and The Weekend! I’ll also be bending soundwaves at the beginning of 2016 on Halsey, Selena, Charlie Puth and DNCE! You’re gonna want to amp the volume way up for hot new tracks from Florence & The Machine, One Direction and the Biebs! It’s all happening right here this weekend!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

I try to get creative with my gift giving but Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga have me beat. Ed bought his folks a million-dollar flat right across the street from his home. Plus a new car. Well every house needs a car right? These wonderful presents do come with a caveat though - Ed’s parents will have to do some babysitting should the need arise in the future. Not to be out done Lady Gaga’s record label sent what Gaga describes as “a White Angel from heaven”. Interscope delivered a gorgeous white pony right to her door. Gaga wrote on Twitter “I will ride, and care for, and love her forever. I was so surprised!” Well yeah!!!

I have some stellar gifts for your inner ear! It’s a Christmas weekend party packed with killer jams and exclusive HK remixes on Ellie Goulding, Adele, Shawn Mendes, Drake, Elle King, Andy Grammer and One Direction. Then just when you think your speakers are going to blow…I’m droppin’ the needle on new tracks from Fall Out Boy, DNCE, Ariana Grande, Jess Glynne and so much more!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

The holiday season brings many a party and lots of joy. But anxiety can also creep in with finals, travel, buying gifts that burn a hole in the pocket and the much talked about and oh so special “Family Stress”. Don't worry though, cause In The Mix with HK™ is gonna kick that holiday stress to the curb. I mean, we are here for YOU! And the experts have our back.  Mayo Clinic says, in their “Tips To Tame Stress”, that “listening to music is a good stress reliever because it provides a mental distraction, reduces muscle tension and decreases stress hormones”. They go as far to say “Crank up the volume and let your mind be absorbed by the music”.  Oh yeah …I’m gonna be crankin’ up the volume this weekend with an all-out sonic party jam you just can’t miss!

Look at what I'm putting under the tree for you. Brand new exclusive HK mixes on Gwen StefaniCharlie Puth, Flo Rida and Justin Beiber. I'm also filling my Santa sleigh with exclusive never before heard versions of hits from  Demi Lovato, DNCE, Adele, and Shawn Mendes! My bounty of musical presents is sure to excite when I unwrap the likes of  One Direction, Daya, Tori Kelly , Adam Lambert  and more.

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

The 2016 Grammy nominations were announced this week and the contenders reactions filled the Twittersphere! Here are a few of my faves: Meghan Trainor – “Crying all day. What an honor it is to be next to such incredible artists like @torikelly.”  James Bay – “THREE GRAMMY NOMINATIONS. THREE!!!”. Ed Sheeran – “I wasn't expecting the Grammy noms, thank you”. Cortney Barnett – “Paris > Abu Dhabi > Melbourne > turn on phone > nominated for Grammy!!!”. Charlie Puth – “I am honored and humbled. I'm also crying HAHAHAHAH”. Tori Kelly – “I'm nominated for a Grammy. my heart is heavy & i am just speechless”. Wiz Khalifa - “Woke up to some Grammy noms. I'll smoke to that”. Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers join me this weekend on In The Mix with HK™

Their work includes remixes of Ellie Goulding, The Wanted and Bastille but they are best known for their own catchy club anthem #Selfie. That hilarious track about self-absorbed internet culture crossed them over to Pop status while selling over 10 million copies globally.

Now The Chainsmokers are smokin’ up the decks with another hit - Roses. Tune in to learn more about the group, their song and life on a major label.

Party season has officially arrived and I've got just what you need for your holiday soundtrack. Get ready to deck the halls with exclusive HK remixes on Drake, Justin Bieber, Adele, Rudimental feat. Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy and of course The Chainsmokers! Plus my special reworking of several classics and a few new bangers to stuff your stocking!

I caught up with Miss Jackson in the middle of her Unbreakable World Tour and to say that Janet Jackson is a legend is an understatement. The tour is in support of Janet’s long awaited album of the same name (her first release in seven years). It is also her 7th album to go to No. 1. Her concerts are selling out and to top it off Janet’s been nominated to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. This tour gives fans exactly what they want. ALL the hits, ALL the dancing and a taste of the new stuff. Madonna…please take note! This is how it should be done. When you’re a legend with a body of work the fans love…give it to them!

This weekend I’m bringing you all the hits like you’ve never heard them before. Plus exclusive HK remixes on Selena Gomez, X Ambassadors, Adele, Calvin Harris, DNCE, Shawn Mendes and many more! Get ready to turn the volume way up for new jams from Fall Out Boy & Demi Lovato, Shaggy and Pitbull, Gwen Stefani, 5 Seconds of Summer and Tove Lo!

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

X Ambassadors the alt-rock pop ensemble from up state NY have a huge hit on their hands with their track Renegades. Sam Harris (singer/songwriter) describes the band as “a group of brothers, best friends and family who’ve been through so much together”. Sam met Guitarist Noah Felshuh on their first day of kindergarten and became best friends. While attending New York City’s The New School, Sam and Noah met drummer Adam Levin in the dorm. Keyboardist Casey Harris is Sam’s older brother. Blind since childhood Casey was making a living as a professional piano tuner and played with local bands prior to joining the group. The combination of friends and family is proving to be a winning recipe for this wickedly talented group. This week I sit down with X Ambassadors to discuss the turning point of their career, love of hip hop, collaborations and much more.

Nail down your speakers cause this weekend’s show is an epic party destined to move the needle on the Richter scale. The decks will be blazin' hot with exclusive HK remixes on…Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Adele, Taylor Swift and the new one from Ariana Grande. I'm lowering my sonic boom on the boys too including…5 Seconds Of Summer, Justin Bieber, Rudimental feat. Ed Sheeran, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and One Direction. Plus new jams from Romans, Gwen Stefani, Audien, Tori Kelly and more!

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

DJing, Producing and Remixing are my life and I’ve met and worked with a lot of DJs. This week I sit down with Kaskade who is not your typical DJ. He’s a DJ/Writer/Vocalist/Producer/Remixer who happens to be the No. 7 highest paid DJ in the world, raking in $18 million a year (yes I said “a year”) according to Forbes. That count was prior to the launch of his exclusive residency at Wynn’s Vegas Encore Beach Club (just in case you’d like to check him out his gig there runs through January 2017). Kaskade is also a Mormon who doesn’t participate in some of the typical nightclub or studio habits like drinking and smoking. He’s married with three beautiful daughters who he occasional takes on the road with him. Oh yeah… and this year he inked a two-album deal with Warner Bros. plus he’s been nominated for three Grammys. You’re already familiar with Kaskade’s remix of the Skrillex-Diiplo-Justin Beiber hit Where Are You Now. This very busy DJ is hoping that you’ll soon be familiar with his latest album Automatic. Check out my exclusive interview with him when we have little DJ to DJ chat this weekend on In The Mix with HK™!

And that’s not all that’s goin’ down. Turn up the volume and get ready for my sic weekend throwdown. I have exclusive HK remixes on Justin Bieber, Adele, Jess Glynne, Calvin Harris and many more! Plus brand new joints from David Guetta & Sia, Tori Kelly, and The Chainsmokers. Now you know that's only scratching the service, so tune in for all my sonic surprises.

If you aren’t familiar with MAX you soon will be. Max Schneider, known professionally in music as MAX, is a talented pop-soul crooner, musician, songwriter, dancer and actor. Seriously is there anything this guy doesn’t do? MAX has been named MTV’s Artist to Watch, had a supporting role in this summer’s Brian Wilson bio pic, Love & Mercy and has over 1 million followers on YouTube. His new single, Gibberish featuring Hoodie Allen, with its groundbreaking music video scored over 4.5 million views in just one week and over 6 million plays on Spotify. This week I sit down with MAX to discuss his new single, it’s wicked music video and his upcoming album.

In addition to my live remix on Gibberish this weekend, I've got a Halloween party packed lineup of exclusive HK remixes on…Alessia Cara, Hailee Steinfeld, Drake, DNCE, Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas and more. Plus brand new floor stompers from Conrad Sewell, Romans, Ellie Goulding and other Tricks & Treats! And of course…my Pick To Hit™.

The Recording Academy’s mission is to advance artistic and technical excellence, work to ensure a vital and free creative environment, and act as an advocate on behalf of music and its makers. As a voting member of the Recording Academy I visited Congressman Erik Paulsen's office as part of a nationwide campaign to advocate for the rights of songwriters, performers and studio professionals. We all love music and want songwriters and artists to be able to pay their bills, support  their families and continue to do the work they and we love. Too many cannot because they are being short changed by new and old technology companies. At this time music licensing is governed by a patchwork of laws that don’t reflect the evolving digital market place and results in creators receiving below-market compensation. It’s time to fix music licensing so that all music creators are paid fairly. Please go to for more info.

In the meantime…I’ve got your fave beats lovingly, composed, recorded, mixed and mastered by my fellow artistes all locked & loaded for you this weekend! I’ll be laying down EXCLUSIVE HK remixes on Maroon 5, Nick Jonas, 5 Seconds of Summer, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and more! Plus hot new jams from Bomba Estereo feat. Will Smith, One DirectionShaggy feat. Pitbull and a few more surprises.

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

No, Mizgin is not a new wicked distilled spirt for feminists. Mizgin is a hot female Swedish artist with an intoxicating voice. The video of her promotional single Get You Off spent twelve weeks in the Top 20 of MTV’s Most Popular Music Videos. This Femme Fatal may not be a star in the US yet but she’s been turning heads and blowing up stages around the globe. Mizgin is confident and driven saying, “The only thing that is endless in life is your imagination, so never be afraid to use it and believe in it. If you want something, go get it; no one is going to get it for you. You may get help along the way, but the only one that can truly take you where you want to go is you”.  This lady appears to be on her way. Her official debut single If I Said I’m I Love (Suicide) is this week’s Pick To Hit™ on In The Mix with HK™.

Speaking of love… I love a good party and I’ve got a great one on tap for you this weekend. I’m gonna be burning up the decks with custom HK remixes on X Ambassadors, Taylor Swift, One Direction, Jess Glynne, Selena Gomez and more! Plus hot new music from Shaggy feat. Pitbull, Conrad Sewell and Carly Rae Jepsen. You can always count on some surprises too including re-imagined sonic workings on Queen, Blackstreet and Toto

It’s my favorite time of the year or as I like to call it… Big Album Droppin’ Season! Yes, killer albums are about to drop. Selena Gomez's second solo album Revival is splashing down this Friday! Her ex, you know, that guy Justin Bieber. He has one presumably entitled Purpose (based on his latest tat) that drops the same day as One Direction’ s fifth album Made In The AM on November 13th. Not sure that having the same release date is such a good marketing idea. The Biebes sure doesn’t like it, saying the only reason that 1D chose that date was to bring them publicity. On November 20th Adele’s much anticipated sophomore album 25 will be on the shelves. Hopefully soon after, and most likely prior to the Christmas buying season, Rihanna will deliver her eighth studio album called Anti. The anticipation is too much!!! I suggest we shower ourselves with current hits till these babies are in our hands.

With that in mind tune in this weekend to hear my EXCLUSIVE remixes on Nick Jonas, 1D, Selena Gomez, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Audien and Demi Lovato. Plus brand new bangers from Skrillex-Diplo-AlunaGeorge, Rudimental & Ed Sheeran, Romans and DNCE. Trust me, there's even more to go around so let me be the soundtrack to your weekend party!

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

This is definitely Shaggy’s rebirth year. The Jamaican –American artist came back to the top of the charts with his jam I Need Your Love with Mohombi, Faydee and Costi. Now he’s featuring Pitbull and Gene Noble on his latest release Only Love. This is the third time Shaggy and Pitbull have collaborated and I’m thinking 3rd time is money. It’s my Pick To Hit™ this week, but don’t expect the usual hot beach babes, booty beats and fireball lyrics. This song is all about love, as Pitbull says in the track “Let’s show the world how powerful love is”.

I’m showin’ you nothing but love this weekend when I drop the needle on custom HK remixes of….Selena Gomez, The Weekend, Taylor Swift, Hailee Steinfeld, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Demi Lovato and more! Plus brand new jams from Maroon 5, A Great Big World, Major Lazer and Ellie Goulding!

Hailee Steinfeld is a proven actress with an Oscar nomination under her belt for her teen role in True Grit. She has several other movies coming out this year and nailed her vocals in Pitch Perfect 2, but what has my attention is her first original single Love Myself. Steinfeld said of her music career vs acting: ”Music is the most moving art form. It moves in such a personal way. There’s something about the control you have --- I love it”. Her new debut single has been described as a self –empowerment song that is a cross between Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive and DivinylsI Touch Myself. Hailee says “the song is about taking care of yourself, weather that means physically, emotionally or with material things. There’s a power in being able to provide for yourself. Being able to say, I love myself”. And I LOVE her track which apparently puts me with the masses as it is climbing up the charts! Look for her EP to drop later this year and check out her killer music video below.

This weekend I've got killer exclusive remixes you can only hear on IN THE MIX WITH HK™. So tune in and turn it up when I reinvent tracks from R.City/Adam Levine, Audien feat. Lady Antebellum, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato and more! Plus my re-imagined takes on Nick Jonas, The Weeknd and Jess Glynne. I'm also featuring new music from Andy Grammer, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Elle King and others.

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Logan Light and Alex Seaver make up the unlikely duo Mako. Before becoming half of Mako Alex attended Juilliard School as a musician on a full scholarship, performed at Carnegie Hall and embarked upon scoring for film and television. Logan pursued the art of DJ’ing and opened for some of dance music’s biggest international acts, including Tiesto and Avicii. In 2011 the two artists from contrasting backgrounds were introduced by Light’s Father. He and Seaver’s Dad were roommates some 36 years earlier at Syracuse University. Soon after Logan and Alex found their radically different musical worlds collide (in a good way) as they started writing original material together. This week I’m featuring their latest track Smoke Filled Room as my Pick To Hit™!

On this weeks In The Mix with HK™ I’m gonna fill your room with all your favorite hits like you’ve never heard them before! Get ready for custom HK remixes on Walk The Moon, Little Mix, Zedd featuring Jon Bellion, and A Great Big World featuring Futuristic. Plus new tracks from Justin Bieber, Elle King, Jess Glynne and so much more!

OMI DROPS "HULA HOOP" WHILE "CHEERLEADER" STILL REIGNS at #1 for six weeks in a row, and currently at #2, OMI’s smash hit Cheerleader is a contender for song of the summer. The Jamaican-born singer/songwriter began work on Cheerleader in 2008 and had a hit with it in Jamaica in 2012 but it was the 2014 remix by Felix Jaehn (gotta love the remix) that has propelled the song to platinum status in nine countries. Lesson to all singer/songwriters - don’t give up! OMI said of Cheerleader: “Having this hit is a blessing, maybe even destiny, but I want people to look back and say Cheerleader was just the beginning.” So he’s been banging out beats preparing for his full length debut album Me 4 U with a release date of October 16th. Till then OMI’s teasing us with his fresh single Hula Hoop. It’s this week’s Pick To Hit™ on In The Mix with HK™ and I want to know what you think. Has OMI done it again? Hit me up on twitter @HowardHKKessler!
I can tell you what we’re definitely doing again, an In The Mix with HK™ holiday weekend mega party throw down show you don’t want to miss! Get ready for wicked hot HK custom remixes on Major Lazer, Taylor Swift, One Direction, Demi Lovato, 5 Seconds of Summer, Selena Gomez and more! Plus smokin' hot holiday weekend exclusives on Kygo, The Weeknd, Jess Glynne, Adam Lambert, Icona Pop and countless others.

It has been three years since Carly Rae Jepsen ruled the airwaves with her pop phenomenon single Call Me Maybe. Just thinking about that song insures that I will undoubtable be singing it in my head for the rest of the day. That track was Carly’s first foray into the music scene and what an amazing first release it was. Call Me Maybe sold over 18 million copies, went top ten in 29 countries and hit #1 in 19 countries! Now after much preparation and collaboration Carly has just released her much anticipated sophomore album Emotion to rave reviews. This week she will be joining me to talk about her new single and the different approach taken on this album vs. her first!

In addition to Carly’s new single Run Away With Me getting the HK touch, I’ll be hitting you up with EXCLUSIVE HK remixes on all your faves. Tune in to hear The Weeknd, OMI, Demi Lovato, R.City and Zedd like you've never heard them before. Plus brand new bangers from Hailee Steinfeld, Audien w/Lady Antebellum, Matthew Koma, Kygo, Icona Pop and more!

Over an astounding 25 year career Mimi has had her share of ups and downs. There’s been talk of diva behavior (no surprise there), vocal acrobatics gone wrong and being off key. But love her or hate her there’s no denying Mariah Carey is an icon with staying power. Her residency at Cesar’s Palace runs through February, this month she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and just this week she performed to an adoring crowd of thousands in Israel.

Here are 5 things I’m likin’ about Mimi:
1.    She can sing her A** off with that five octave range and has the ability to reach notes beyond the 7th octave.

2.    This lady knows how to make a hit record. Charting 18 #1’s (that’s right count them) and still putting music out there.

3.    She’s no quitter- After a devastating fail with her film Glitter she came back to deliver a “put yourself out there” award winning performance in Precious. I mean a Diva without makeup is like me without music.

4.    During a recent press event she discussed her disdain for those reality stars who reach celebrity status without having a craft or an art that they’re famous for. You gotta love her for that.

5.    She’s hitting the small screen in Season 2 of Empire. As if there weren’t enough reasons to be glued to Empire already.

And you should be glued to your radio this weekend cause I'm dropping smokin’ hot HK EXCLUSIVE remixes on all your faves. Buckle up and keep your hands in the car, I’ll be taking over your ear canal with Fifth Harmony, Adam Lambert, OMI, Flo Rida, Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly, Little Mix and more! Plus new jams from Carly Rae Jepsen, Kygo, A Great Big World, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Jess Glynne.

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Is it just me or does every day now feel like The Weeknd? Let me explain, Abel Tesfaye the singer, songwriter and producer better known as The Weeknd is a young Canadian of Ethiopian decent. He entered the scene with his modern soul music in 2011 with a trilogy of free (gotta love that) mix tapes. Back in 2013 Tesfaye released his debut album and was a contributor on the Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack. Then in 2014 he helped write, produce and sang with Ariana Grande on her smash Love Me Harder. But Abel really blew up as an artist back in December with his hit from 50 Shades of Grey- Earned It (have you seen that video???). He’s also been busy  working on his sophomore album Beauty Behind The Madness set to drop on August 28th. Fast forward to today when The Weeknd landed his first #1 with a song I just can’t get out of my head, Can’t Feel My Face. Side Note: We broke that record right here In The Mix with HK™!

Your face will be numb this weekend with my custom and EXCLUSIVE HK remix on Can’t feel My Face and bangers from David Guetta, Jason Derulo, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, A Great Big World, OMI, Little Mix, Demi Lovato and so much more!

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Last summer Nico & Vinz and Taylor Swift ruled the airwaves with their hits Am I Wrong and Shake It Off. This week they ruled the stage together when the Nordic duo joined Taylor on her HUGE 1989 World Tour for a performance of their break through smash.

The boys from Oslo have been busy writing, performing and working on new material and they just dropped a new single That’s How You Know . I caught up with Nico & Vinz on their tour bus to discuss how life has changed since they hit the music scene, when they knew the music biz was for them, what’s up with their love life and more!

MORE is what I have in store for you this weekend on In The Mix with HK™! MORE back to back hits, MORE exclusive HK remixes and it's all goin' down in non-stop commercial free mixed music sets! I’m bringing the party to you with….. Little Mix, Demi Lovato, 5 Seconds Of Summer, The Weeknd, Selena Gomez, Calvin Harris + Disciples, Rachel Platten and so much MORE!

And remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Calvin Harris has been a busy guy. He’s all over twitter with fresh pics from Armani’s Fall/Winter campaign, spinning at America’s biggest nightclub Hakkasan, dating Taylor Swift (that has to keep you jumpin’) and now he just dropped a new track: How Deep Is Your Love

This time the Scottish, Grammy-winning producer/DJ collaborated with the London electronic trio Disciples. The track is heavy on piano and bass with a trademark pop gloss Harris sheen. Could this be the Summer 2015 jam? You decide, in the meantime…. It’s this weekend’s Pick To Hit™ on In The Mix with HK™.

Calvin’s new one and all your fave summer jams will be getting the HK touch this weekend! I’ll be droppin’ the needle on Fall Out Boy, Little Mix, OMI, Sia, Jason Derulo, Selena Gomez, Adam Lambert and so much more! Don’t miss a single beat!

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

For me DJing is a sacred creative art form. I keep it pure and mix manually, not by software or computer assist. Don't get me wrong, I'm a tech head. In the studio I'll use whatever it takes to make a track sound the way I want it too. But when I’m spinning it’s all about my hands and ears and the thrill of holding a great beat mix manually without the aid of beat matching software. But that’s just me. DJ Software programs and advances in technology, combined with the popularity of DJing have made it more inviting for people to become DJs. Actors, super models and even sports figures have been drawn to the call of the 1s and 2s. Some are surprising, take “Hodor” for instance, that’s right the guy from Game of Thrones, he’s been out spinning with his “Rave Of Thrones” tour (you gotta love the name). And when Shaquille O’Neal hung up his kicks he picked up two turntables and a microphone and is now DJ Diesel. Shaq will be taking his talents to TomorrowWorld this year. Other celebrities who’ve taken a spin around the decks include: Paris Hilton (paaalease), Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss, Elijah Wood and wait for it…. Prince Harry (WHAT???). I know some of the celeb DJ crop are seriously better at partying than mixing. But hey! The fakers make the real DJ’s look even better and the skilled bring attention to the craft.

I’m bringin' some serious attention to your fave hits this weekend with custom HK remixes on The Weeknd, Major Lazer, The Skrillex-Diplo-Bieber collab, OMI, Selena Gomez, MKTO, Zedd and Taylor Swift. Plus new jams from Nick Jonas, Jess Glynne, Kaya Stewart, Little Mix and more!

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

God knows I love Ariana’s voice and songs. But that donut incident was seriously messed up and Ariana’s getting a lot of shade over it. Since Taylor Swift is one of today's best loved young artists, not to mention "The Most Charitable Celeb of 2014",  I’m thinking taking her lead might be genius. So Ariana here you go:

  1. Only lick donuts that you have purchased. The general public doesn’t like you enough to eat your  saliva.
  2. Never, ever, ever say you hate America… or any country, anyone or pretty much anything. If you must hate something, hate haters. Their always safe.
  3. Do NOT by any means do an insincere video apology that just makes you look even worse.
  4. Do NOT do a second insincere video apology that just makes you look even worse than you did prior to the first lame apology.

Ariana Do Follow Taylor Swift's Lead Here:

  1. Do donate $50,000.00 to help pay the medical bills for a girl with cancer.
  2. Do defend your fellow artists in a professional way and make Apple pay out the royalties that artist have coming to them.
  3. Do ask fans to star in one of your music videos.
  4. Do send Christmas care packages to your biggest fans.
  5. Throw a private concert for a 6-Year-Old with Leukemia.
  6. Bring waiting fans a bunch of Pizzas (I mean, who doesn’t love pizza).

How would you handle not being able to talk for two or more weeks? Damn! I don't know if I could do it. These days it seems like more stars than ever are on vocal rest or having vocal cord surgery. Meghan Trainor just canceled several shows due to a hemorrhage (YIKES!) on her vocal cords. Sam Smith recently had vocal cord surgery and this week Miranda Lambert canceled an upcoming concert due some serious vocal cord inflammation. Cancellation of shows does not come cheap. When Adele shelved 17 shows due to a polyp on her vocal cord it was an estimated loss of up to 10 million big ones. That’s dollars people. So why are more and more artists canceling shows due to vocal injuries? Many in the biz think it’s a sign of singers being overworked. With record sales down touring is an artist’s best chance to make a buck. It’s now common for artist to tour and record simultaneously. All that overuse and strain on a singers vocal cords can be extremely damaging.

I’m doing some serious damage on the decks this weekend! Get ready for EXCLUSIVE HK remixes on Rachel Platten, The Weeknd, Zedd, Tove Lo, David Guetta, OMI, Taylor Swift and more! Plus brand spankin' new music from Jason Derulo, Adam Lambert, Silento, Demi Lovato, Icona Pop and Audien f/Lady Antebellum

John Adams wrote that Independence Day … ought to be celebrated by pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward and forever more. If President Adams were alive today I believe he would have added…and by jamming out to In The Mix with HK™ for a non-stop musical extravaganza in all American HK style! It seems like everybody’s getting’ into the music biz these days. The latest company to jump in the groove is Marriott Hotels. I know your probably saying to yourself… “What the **** does a hotel chain have to do with music?” Apparently Marriott has gotten in bed with Universal Music Group for what they’re calling a “first-of-its-kind” partnership. Some of Universal's biggest stars will perform at their hotels plus other incentives. This new union kicks off next week when Jessie J will perform at a Marriott Hotel in London.

I’ll be kicking tracks off the hook all weekend long! Get ready for…..Tove Lo, Ed Sheeran, Andy Grammer, Kelly Clarkson, Rachel Platten, MKTO, Fall Out Boy, Walk The Moon, OMI and others like you've never heard them before!

Last month it was Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video with her besties. Now Madonna drops the B**** I’m Madonna video with Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora, Chris Rock and more. This has been happening since music videos came into existence. Another recent example…Tom Hanks had more camera time than Carly Rae Jepsen in her video. Scarlet Johansson turned it out for Justin Timberlake and Ben Stiller showed up in a P Diddy joint. What’s your fave music video with a killer cameo? My hands down favorite celeb in a music video (it is a serious must see)….wait for it.…Christopher Walken in Fat Boy Slim’s Weapon Of Choice.

I'll be pulling out all my weapons of choice this weekend with EXCLUSIVE HK remixes on Sia, Rachel Platten, Adam Lambert, Calvin Harris, Jason Derulo, Walk The Moon, MKTO and so much more!.

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK.

Is it me or does it seem like singles are being released at lightning speed lately? Proof of that is the recent rumor over what Taylor Swift’s next single off her mondo selling album 1989 will be. Next single, really??? Bad Blood has barely dropped. Taylor’s reaction: “I don’t even know what the next single is yet !! Let’s all take deep breaths in and out and watch Bad Blood again on Vevo”. She must be thinking S*** it took me forever to make that video and they want another one already? Taylor’s first four tracks from 1989 are all currently charting in the top 40. Not long ago a label would wait for a song to fall off the chart before releasing the next one. A great album would provide singles for what seemed like years. Giving the artist a break to tour, write new music, work their magic in the studio for their next album or have a life. Now we want our beats fast and furious. Today labels are trying to make a buck in a digital landscape and artists are under more pressure than ever to deliver the hits at rapid fire speed!

I'll be mixing and remixing the hits with rapid speed and dexterity this weekend in my EXCLUSIVE HK sets! Adam Lambert, Walk The Moon, The Police, David Guetta, Ariana Grande, Sia and even the Biebs all get a sonic reworking. Plus new tracks from OMI, Zedd, Major Lazer, Jeremih, Flo Rida and Avicii.

Remember…If it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.
