AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT LOVE BETWEEN SHAGGY AND PITBULL

This is definitely Shaggy’s rebirth year. The Jamaican –American artist came back to the top of the charts with his jam I Need Your Love with Mohombi, Faydee and Costi. Now he’s featuring Pitbull and Gene Noble on his latest release Only Love. This is the third time Shaggy and Pitbull have collaborated and I’m thinking 3rd time is money. It’s my Pick To Hit™ this week, but don’t expect the usual hot beach babes, booty beats and fireball lyrics. This song is all about love, as Pitbull says in the track “Let’s show the world how powerful love is”.

I’m showin’ you nothing but love this weekend when I drop the needle on custom HK remixes of….Selena Gomez, The Weekend, Taylor Swift, Hailee Steinfeld, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Demi Lovato and more! Plus brand new jams from Maroon 5, A Great Big World, Major Lazer and Ellie Goulding!

HAILEE STEINFELD LOVES HERSELF AND WE LOVE HER!

Hailee Steinfeld is a proven actress with an Oscar nomination under her belt for her teen role in True Grit. She has several other movies coming out this year and nailed her vocals in Pitch Perfect 2, but what has my attention is her first original single Love Myself. Steinfeld said of her music career vs acting: ”Music is the most moving art form. It moves in such a personal way. There’s something about the control you have --- I love it”. Her new debut single has been described as a self –empowerment song that is a cross between Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive and DivinylsI Touch Myself. Hailee says “the song is about taking care of yourself, weather that means physically, emotionally or with material things. There’s a power in being able to provide for yourself. Being able to say, I love myself”. And I LOVE her track which apparently puts me with the masses as it is climbing up the charts! Look for her EP to drop later this year and check out her killer music video below.

This weekend I've got killer exclusive remixes you can only hear on IN THE MIX WITH HK™. So tune in and turn it up when I reinvent tracks from R.City/Adam Levine, Audien feat. MAKO NABS THIS WEEK'S PICK TO HIT™

Logan Light and Alex Seaver make up the unlikely duo Mako. Before becoming half of Mako Alex attended Juilliard School as a musician on a full scholarship, performed at Carnegie Hall and embarked upon scoring for film and television. Logan pursued the art of DJ’ing and opened for some of dance music’s biggest international acts, including Tiesto and Avicii. In 2011 the two artists from contrasting backgrounds were introduced by Light’s Father. He and Seaver’s Dad were roommates some 36 years earlier at Syracuse University. Soon after Logan and Alex found their radically different musical worlds collide (in a good way) as they started writing original material together. This week I’m featuring their latest track Smoke Filled Room as my Pick To Hit™!

On this weeks In The Mix with HK™ I’m gonna fill your room with all your favorite hits like you’ve never heard them before! Get ready for custom HK remixes on Walk The Moon, Little Mix, Zedd featuring Jon Bellion, and A Great Big World featuring Futuristic. OMI DROPS "HULA HOOP" WHILE "CHEERLEADER" STILL REIGNS

http://www.omimusiconline.com/images/bio.pngHanging at #1 for six weeks in a row, and currently at #2, OMI’s smash hit Cheerleader is a contender for song of the summer. The Jamaican-born singer/songwriter began work on Cheerleader in 2008 and had a hit with it in Jamaica in 2012 but it was the 2014 remix by Felix Jaehn (gotta love the remix) that has propelled the song to platinum status in nine countries. Lesson to all singer/songwriters - don’t give up! OMI said of Cheerleader: “Having this hit is a blessing, maybe even destiny, but I want people to look back and say Cheerleader was just the beginning.” So he’s been banging out beats preparing for his full length debut album Me 4 U with a release date of October 16th. Till then OMI’s teasing us with his fresh single Hula Hoop. It’s this week’s Pick To Hit™ on In The Mix with HK™ and I want to know what you think. Has OMI done it again? Hit me up on twitter @HowardHKKessler!
