HK PARTICIPATES IN GRAMMY® ADVOCACY AND YOU SHOULD TOO!

The Recording Academy’s mission is to advance artistic and technical excellence, work to ensure a vital and free creative environment, and act as an advocate on behalf of music and its makers. As a voting member of the Recording Academy I visited Congressman Erik Paulsen's office as part of a nationwide campaign to advocate for the rights of songwriters, performers and studio professionals. We all love music and want songwriters and artists to be able to pay their bills, support  their families and continue to do the work they and we love. Too many cannot because they are being short changed by new and old technology companies. At this time music licensing is governed by a patchwork of laws that don’t reflect the evolving digital market place and results in creators receiving below-market compensation.
