LADIES RULE THE CHARTS

2019 is shaping up to be the year of female music chart domination. In 2018 solo female stars hit #1 on the chart for 11 weeks. Just a few months into 2019 and the ladies have already matched that number with Ariana Grande and Halsey leading the charge. BEBE'S "LAST HURRAH"

Bebe Rexha is climbing the charts with her latest banger and first single of 2019 – Last Hurrah. Bebe said the track was “Inspired by a friend. She was supposed to be on as diet and she ate a piece of chocolate cake and her husband was like aren’t you supposed to be on a diet? She responded to him by saying babe this is my last hurrah. Meaning it's gonna be one more night of me messing up.” Bebe says the track is all about seizing the night one last time, even if it means doing some bad things along the way.

I’m gonna be seizing the night this weekend on In The Mix with HK™ with Bebe’s new smash. Plus custom HK remixes of Ariana GrandePanic! DEAN LEWIS WILL "BE ALRIGHT"

I’d say Dean Lewis is more than alright. This week the Australian singer-songwriter tops the Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart for the very first time on the strength of his breakout single “Be Alright”. Lewis’s hit also reaches a new high on the Hot 100 climbing to an impressive No. 29. His first album, A Place We Knew, is due to drop March 22nd and he’s proud and excited about it. Lewis said “I’ve been able to write this album from what feels right.” On getting down to the 12 songs that made it on the final album he says, “I actually did about 60 songs, but…there were always ones that held their hand up.”

This weekend I’ve got the tunes to keep everybody’s hands up…and they’ll stay there! I’ll be kicking things off with a custom HK remix of Dean Lewis’s smash plus turning up the wattage on hits from Imagine DragonsPanic! WHO IS FLETCHER

Cari Fletcher, known by her surname Fletcher, is a budding singer/songwriter from the Jersey shore whose songs have been streamed nearly 100 million times on Spotify. At the age of five she started taking classical vocal lessons and by seventeen competed on the first season of X Factor (US). She’s a graduate from NYU’s famed Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music  and just dropped her first single with Capitol Records, “Undrunk”.  Fletcher says the track is about “Wishing you could undo hooking up with somebody (and) undo loving somebody.”

One thing I don’t wannna “undo” is the sick remix of “Undrunk” that I’m working on for this weekend’s In The Mix with HK™.
