It seems like every Friday a major pop star makes my day by
showering us with a new studio album and this week its Kelly Clarkson’s turn
with “Meaning of Life”. On this, her eighth album and first with
Atlantic Records, Kelly is said to summon her inner Aretha. Other
critics write that Clarkson goes full bore Mariah Carey showing
off her multi-octave range. Some even say it’s a soulful stunner and the best
album of her career. If Kelly’s first single, the Motown inspired, “Love
So Soft" is any indication of the rest of the tracks on “Meaning
of Life”, I’ll be picking that baby up this weekend.
