KYGO & MAX McNOWN: DANCE YOUR HEARTACHE AWAY

There’s something about a great heartbreak song that makes you want to turn it up instead of turn it off.

That’s exactly what we’ve got this week on In The Mix With HK™ with a hot new collaboration from tropical house superstar Kygo and country artist Max McNown.

It’s a song about lost love, but don’t expect a slow, sad soundtrack for crying into your coffee. Kygo brings his signature tropical house sound, giving the track an uplifting, feel-good vibe, while Max McNown delivers the kind of emotional country vocal that makes you believe every word.

And that combination? It works.

There’s something really cool about hearing the emotion and storytelling of country music meet the melodic, danceable production Kygo is known for. The result is one of those records that can hit you right in the heart while still making you want to move.

You know the feeling — you’re thinking about the one that got away, but instead of sitting around feeling sorry for yourself, you decide to turn the music up and dance your heartache away.

That’s the vibe.

And that’s one of the things I love about music. Sometimes the best way to get through something is to put on a great song, turn it up, and let the music do what it does best.

So this week, keep an ear out for Kygo and Max McNown on In The Mix With HK™.

Whether you're nursing a broken heart, celebrating a new beginning, or just looking for a great new track to add to your weekend playlist, this one deserves a spin.

Lost loves. Tropical vibes. Country soul. And a beat that makes you wanna dance.

That’s part of what we’re mixing up this week.

Turn it up, and as always...

Remember...“If it’s hot, if it’s new, and it makes you wanna move...You’re In The Mix With HK™."

GRACIE ABRAMS - DAUGHTER FROM HELL

It's been a pretty incredible run for Gracie Abrams.

Coming off one of the biggest hits of 2025, she's stepping into a brand-new chapter with the release of her latest album, Daughter From Hell. With a Hollywood pedigree, a Hollywood boyfriend, and a fanbase that's growing by the day, all eyes are on this project to see if it becomes another massive milestone in her career.

One thing's for sure...I'll be watching right along with you.

And while everyone is diving into the new album, I thought it'd be the perfect time to put my own spin on one of Gracie's standout tracks. This weekend on In The Mix With HK™, listen for my exclusive remix of "Hit The Wall," alongside the biggest hits, fresh new music, throwbacks, mashups, and those signature HK remixes you won't hear anywhere else.

SIENNA SPIRO'S SECRET WEAPON...AND HER BIGGEST CHALLENGE

Some artists spend years trying to create a signature sound. For Sienna Spiro, it turns out hers has been there all along.

The British singer-songwriter has become one of 2026's biggest breakout stars. After turning heads with "Die On This Hill" in 2025, she's kept the momentum going with "The Visitor," "Material Lover" from The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack, and now fans are counting down to the release of her debut album, Visitor.

One of the first things you'll notice about Sienna is her unmistakable voice. That rich, raspy tone has become her calling card—but it isn't something she set out to create.

In a recent interview, Sienna revealed she has vocal nodules—small bumps on her vocal cords that give her voice its unique texture. While that rasp has helped make her instantly recognizable, it also makes singing a lot more challenging than most people realize.

Before she was diagnosed, she says she was constantly losing her voice. And because she never had formal vocal training growing up, she even joked that she's "technically a terrible singer."

The reality is anything but.

After learning about the condition, Sienna completely changed the way she takes care of her voice, often spending two to three days in total silence before and after performances to give her vocal cords time to recover.

It's a reminder that sometimes the very thing that makes an artist stand out is also the obstacle they have to work the hardest to overcome.

Judging by everything she's accomplished over the past year, that extra effort is paying off in a big way. And with Visitor on the horizon, it feels like Sienna Spiro is just getting started.

DEFINITELY NOT FEELING SOMBR

If you haven’t caught on to Sombr yet, now’s probably the time.

Fresh off a breakout year that keeps getting bigger, Sombr hit the stage at the 2026 American Music Awards last weekend with a high-energy performance of “Homewrecker”—and brought serious intensity to the moment.

The AMA appearance capped off a huge night for the rising singer-songwriter, who pretty much owned the Rock/Alternative categories. Sombr walked away with Best Rock/Alternative Album for I Barely Know Her and also snagged Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Artist, making it clear this isn’t just hype anymore.

From viral momentum to major award wins and now a standout AMA performance, Sombr’s having the kind of year artists dream about. The real question now: is this just the beginning?

Tune in this weekend to hear my EXCLUSIVE REMIX on “Homewrecker”. Along with HK remixes on Kehlani, Rihanna, Lady Gaga/Doechii, OneRepublic, Noah Kahan, and others. Plus amazing re-imagined throwbacks so sick your body will be shaking.

Madonna And Sabrina Carpenter Bring Their Love

Madonna
and Sabrina Carpenter team up on the lead single from Madonna’s new album. Is it a legit banger…or just another case of a post-peak artist tapping into a younger pop star’s fandom? Maybe it’s both. Either way, I’ve got an exclusive HK remix this week on In The Mix With HK™.

Plus, brand-new music from Jennifer Lopez and David Guetta, John Summit, Bebe Rexha, and Charli XCX. And if you’re craving the classics, I’m throwing it back with Michael Jackson, Gwen Stefani, and Pitbull—plus so much more.

FREYA SKYE ISN’T GETTING THE SILENT TREATMENT

This week on In The Mix With HK, rising star Freya Skye is having a serious moment. She’s still wrapping her head around seeing her name on the Billboard charts alongside artists she grew up listening to — and honestly, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving talent. Between starring in Disney’s Zombies universe and hitting the road supporting her latest EP, she’s proving she’s one to watch in a big way.

I’m also dropping my exclusive HK remix of Silent Treatment, giving the track a whole new energy.

BEBE REXHA HAS ANOTHER BANGER

Fresh off the release of “New Religion,” Bebe Rexha is proving once again why she’s one of pop music’s most fearless voices. The new track blends raw emotion, huge hooks, and that signature Bebe attitude that makes every song feel both personal and larger than life. It’s bold, infectious, and impossible not to turn up loud.

The original melody and music hook comes from a song by Faithless called Insomnia. That track was released November 27, 1995. That’s right…Bebe found an electronic song from 31 years ago, resurrected it, and gave it the vocal vibe and energy only she can.

I’m gonna try to breath new life into a few killer tracks from the vault. As well as bring you the hits like you never heard them before.

OLIVIA RODRIGO SAYS "DROP DEAD"

Olivia Rodrigo is stepping into a whole new emotional lane—and you’re going to hear it loud and clear on her upcoming album. While working on her third studio project, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, Rodrigo revealed she was experiencing “real romantic love” for the first time, shaping both the tone and storytelling of the record.

Set to drop June 12, the album—including the buzzed-about track Drop Dead—promises a more mature, vulnerable side of the artist. Known for turning heartbreak into anthems, this time Olivia flips the script, channeling the highs, complexities, and authenticity of being truly in love.

If her past hits are any indication, expect raw honesty, major emotion, and songs that hit just as hard—only now, with a different kind of heartbeat behind them.

TURN THE HEAT UP

The spotlight is locked on a powerhouse collaboration you didn’t know you needed—Lady Gaga and Doechii linking up on the brand new track “Runway.” It’s bold, it’s unpredictable, and it hits with that larger-than-life energy both artists are known for. Gaga brings the theatrical edge, Doechii injects her fearless flow, and together they’ve created something that feels fresh, fashion-forward, and built to move crowds.

But that’s just the beginning.

We’re also diving into brand new music from OneRepublic, who continue to deliver those arena-ready anthems, plus the ever-evolving Miley Cyrus, bringing a sound that keeps pushing her artistry forward. And don’t sleep on Teddy Swims—his latest release is packed with raw emotion and powerhouse vocals that cut straight through.

On top of that, we’re digging into a vault of throwback bangers—reimagined, reworked, and reborn for today’s sound systems. Familiar hooks, flipped with a modern twist, designed to hit that nostalgia button while keeping the energy fully current.

And of course, it wouldn’t be the show without what sets it apart—EXCLUSIVE HK REMIXES you won’t hear anywhere else. Custom blends, high-energy transitions, mashups, and that signature mix show feel built to keep the momentum going from start to finish.

If you’re looking for a show that blends what’s next with what you love—and turns it all into one nonstop party—this is it. Turn it up. This week’s energy is straight-up hype.

INTO THE CAGE: AN EXCLUSIVE SIT-DOWN WITH DANIEL MACPHERSON

The wait is finally over. BEAST officially hits theaters today, and I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with the man at the center of the storm, Daniel MacPherson.

While the world knows him from stage, TV and the big screen, what he went through to become the MMA legend "Patton James" is on a whole other level. This isn't just another sports movie; it’s a gritty, high-stakes drama co-written by the legendary Russell Crowe and also starring Crowe and Luke Hemsworth.

Daniel and I went deep into what it actually takes to prepare for a role this physically and mentally demanding. He shared some exclusive, never-before-heard stories about the three years of intense training he endured to make every punch and transition look authentic.

We talked about how he transitioned from his background in Iron Man triathlons to the explosive, raw power required for MMA. Going Toe-to-Toe with Russell Crowe, and working with good buddy Luke Hemsworth.

What struck me most during our conversation was Daniel’s reflection on the heart of the film. Beyond the blood and the octagon, Beast is a story about family, identity, and the heavy price of legacy.

If you want the full scoop on the Daniel MacPherson 3.0 era and the behind-the-scenes secrets of Beast, you’ll want to catch this exclusive interview.

BEAST is in theaters now. Make sure to check it out and see the intensity for yourself!

BTS DOES IT AGAIN

BTS just did it again—and honestly, at this point, are we even surprised?

Global superstars BTS have officially scored another massive milestone, as their latest single “Swim” makes a splash debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. That’s not just a big moment—it’s their seventh chart-topper, further cementing their status as one of the most dominant forces in music today.

“Swim” is already everywhere—from playlists to airwaves—and now it’s getting the HK treatment. I’ve taken this global smash and flipped it into something built for the IN THE MIX. My exclusive HK Remix turns up the tempo, injects some high-energy bounce, and layers in that signature sonic sauce designed to hit just right whether you’re in the car, at the gym, or on the dance floor.

If you thought the original went hard, just wait until you hear what I’ve done with it.

Catch it this week on In The Mix With HK™.

ZARA LARSSON IS ON FIRE

Sweden’s global pop powerhouse Zara Larsson absolutely owned Minneapolis. From the moment she hit the stage at the sold-out Fillmore, it was nonstop energy—hit after hit, flawless vocals, and a crowd that was all the way in from the first note to the last.

I’ve been riding with Zara for a minute now—breaking “Midnight Sun” early on my show—and seeing it come to life like that, with fans knowing every word, is exactly why we do this. Full-circle moment.

This wasn’t just a concert—it was a vibe. Positive energy, electric crowd, and a reminder of how powerful a pop show can be when the artist truly connects.

Tap in with me this week on In The Mix With HK™—I’ll be spinning my exclusive remix of “Midnight Sun,” plus her brand new collab with PinkPantheress.

MAX MCNOWN - BETTER ME FOR YOU

Max McNown may still be an emerging name for some listeners, but the numbers — and the buzz — say he’s very much an artist on the rise. With a steady climb in streaming and growing attention across the charts, the young singer-songwriter is quickly carving out a lane of his own.

What makes Max stand out is the sound. His music blends pop, R&B, country, and alternative influences in a way that feels both polished and personal. It’s the kind of genre-blurring style that today’s listeners connect with instantly — melodic, emotional, and built for repeat listens.

That connection is clearly translating. Fans are discovering his music in big numbers across streaming platforms, while his growing presence on the Billboard charts signals that the industry is starting to take notice as well. For a developing artist, that combination of organic fan growth and chart momentum is a powerful sign that something special is happening.

One track that’s really helping drive that momentum is his current single “Better Me For You.” The song captures the vulnerability and honesty that defines Max’s writing — heartfelt lyrics layered over a modern, atmospheric production that feels equally at home in pop and alternative playlists.

Of course, you know I had to put my own spin on it.

I’ve created an HK Vibe remix of “Better Me For You,” giving the track a fresh rhythmic energy while keeping the emotion that makes the song connect so strongly. It’s a version designed for the dancefloor, the mix show, and everywhere in between.

If you’re discovering Max McNown for the first time, this is a great place to start. And if you’re already a fan, check out the HK Vibe and hear the song from a whole new angle.

Because when a great song meets the right vibe… that’s where the magic happens.

If it’s hot, if it’s new, and it makes you wanna move… you’re In The Mix with HK™.
