First, we have to take a moment to celebrate the life and legacy of Dolly Parton, who passed away this week at the age of 80. Dolly wasn’t just a music icon — she was a songwriter, entertainer, actress, entrepreneur and, perhaps most importantly, a tremendous humanitarian. From Jolene and 9 to 5 to I Will Always Love You, her music touched generations. And through programs like Dolly’s Imagination Library, she used her success to make an incredible difference in the lives of millions of people.

But knowing Dolly, she’d probably tell us not to spend too much time being sad. Celebrate the music. Celebrate the memories. And keep the party going.

Every once in a while, a new collaboration comes along that just sounds like summer. That’s exactly what Two Friends and iann dior deliver with their new single, "Fire Escape".

Two Friends — the Los Angeles DJ/producer duo Eli Sones and Matt Halper — have built a serious following with their high-energy dance productions, remixes and legendary Big Bootie Mixes. iann dior brings a completely different flavor to the record, blending his pop, hip-hop and alternative sensibilities with the duo’s upbeat production.

Released July 17, “fire escape” is a breezy, melodic dance-pop track built around iann dior’s laid-back vocal and a story about a spontaneous encounter that turns into something more. At just over two minutes, it gets in, delivers the hook, and gets right back into your head.
