This Week On In The Mix With HK™: Celebrating Legends & Turning Up The Music!

It’s another BIG week on In The Mix With HK™, and we’ve got a whole lot of music coming your way!

First, we have to take a moment to celebrate the life and legacy of Dolly Parton, who passed away this week at the age of 80. Dolly wasn’t just a music icon — she was a songwriter, entertainer, actress, entrepreneur and, perhaps most importantly, a tremendous humanitarian. From Jolene and 9 to 5 to I Will Always Love You, her music touched generations. And through programs like Dolly’s Imagination Library, she used her success to make an incredible difference in the lives of millions of people.

But knowing Dolly, she’d probably tell us not to spend too much time being sad. Celebrate the music. Celebrate the memories. And keep the party going.

And THAT is exactly what we're doing this week!

We’ve got some seriously hot music lined up, including Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande, Stella Lefty, Dominic Fikeand plenty more. Olivia continues to make noise with her latest music, while Ariana, Stella and Dominic are all bringing their own flavor to the mix.

And then there’s the NEW MUSIC!

We’re checking out the latest from ZueZeu & Jaden Bojsen, Jex, Malcolm Todd, French Montana, Kygo & Max McNown, Meek and MORE!

That’s the thing about In The Mix With HK™ — I’m always digging for what’s NEXT while still bringing you the songs you already love. New hits, future hits, exclusive HK remixes, mashups, throwbacks and a few surprises along the way.

So crank it up, turn it loose and get ready…

Because this week on In The Mix With HK™ — we’re celebrating the legends, discovering what’s next, and keeping the party moving!

Remember...“If it’s hot, if it’s new, and it makes you wanna move...You’re In The Mix With HK™."

MAX MCNOWN - BETTER ME FOR YOU

Max McNown may still be an emerging name for some listeners, but the numbers — and the buzz — say he’s very much an artist on the rise. With a steady climb in streaming and growing attention across the charts, the young singer-songwriter is quickly carving out a lane of his own.

What makes Max stand out is the sound. His music blends pop, R&B, country, and alternative influences in a way that feels both polished and personal. It’s the kind of genre-blurring style that today’s listeners connect with instantly — melodic, emotional, and built for repeat listens.

That connection is clearly translating. Fans are discovering his music in big numbers across streaming platforms, while his growing presence on the Billboard charts signals that the industry is starting to take notice as well. For a developing artist, that combination of organic fan growth and chart momentum is a powerful sign that something special is happening.

One track that’s really helping drive that momentum is his current single “Better Me For You.” The song captures the vulnerability and honesty that defines Max’s writing — heartfelt lyrics layered over a modern, atmospheric production that feels equally at home in pop and alternative playlists.

Of course, you know I had to put my own spin on it.

I’ve created an HK Vibe remix of “Better Me For You,” giving the track a fresh rhythmic energy while keeping the emotion that makes the song connect so strongly. It’s a version designed for the dancefloor, the mix show, and everywhere in between.

If you’re discovering Max McNown for the first time, this is a great place to start. And if you’re already a fan, check out the HK Vibe and hear the song from a whole new angle.

Because when a great song meets the right vibe… that’s where the magic happens.

If it’s hot, if it’s new, and it makes you wanna move… you’re In The Mix with HK™.
