Stella Bennett, aka Benne, the
20-year-old singer/songwriter from New Zealand didn’t have
social distancing in mind when she came up with her viral hit Supalonely featuring Gus
Dapperton. She penned the upbeat track laced with comic
expression of self-pity during a songwriting trip to LA last year. With lyrics
like “La La La La La I’m a Lonely B****” the song has morphed into an
unintentional quarantine anthem. Benne says… “I wrote it about my breakup,
but now everyone’s relating it to being isolated and not being able to see
friends. I guess we’re all lonely b****es now.”
