TWENTY ONE PILOTS HAVE A "LEVEL OF CONCERN"

Twenty One Pilots wrote and dropped a new track in this COVID-19 era of self-isolation. The song, Level Of Concern, is definitely influenced by the pandemic with lyrics like “Would you be my little Quarantine”. Of the single, Tyler tweeted; ”Always writing, but this one feels like it should just come out now. I think it’s simple but hopeful.” With intentions of spreading hope Tyler and Josh are donating a portion of the proceeds to Crew Nation a charity that supports laid off live music crews.

I have intentions of spreading the uplifting power of music this weekend by mixing up fresh new beats, chart toppers, fun throwbacks and hot mashups. Also on deck are custom HKremixes on hits from Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Five Seconds Of Summer, Demi Lovato, Trevor Daniel, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Brockhampton and so much more! I’ve got your Stay At Home party right here.

LOVE AND MUSIC IN THE AIR

The music community is stepping up and giving back during this scary time of COVID-19. Taylor Swift has helped a Nashville record store stay afloat by donating money to each employee and paying three months of their health care. Taylor’s also been quietly making donations to fans who have lost jobs due to the crisis. Selena Gomez has donated to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA, the same hospital that has helped with her health issues including her 2017 kidney transplant. Last week Rihanna donated a whopping $5 million to COVID-19 relief efforts and this week she contributed another cool million that Jay-Z matched. Lizzo sent lunch to ER workers at various hospitals across the country. And the list goes on and on of donations and good deeds from celebrity artists and everyday people alike helping out in whatever way they can.

This weekend I’m gonna do my best to send a happy distraction your way through the positive energy of music. Even though we’re apart I’ve got the beats to bring us together with custom HK remixes on hits from Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Tones And I, Post Malone, Trevor Daniel, Jonas Brothers and Billie Eilish. Plus new tracks from Dua Lipa and 5SOS, a throwback that we can all get some good advice from, an inspirational remix of Rise Up by Andra Day and so much more! The power of music is needed now more than ever so please join me for an epic HK music mix.

MUSIC MORE POWERFUL THAN MEDICATION?

Studies suggest music can be even more powerful than medication. Research shows that listening to music can improve immune functioning, cognitive performance and endurance. It can reduce anxiety, decrease pain and make you feel happier. Mayo Clinic says, that “listening to music is a good stress reliever because it provides a mental distraction, reduces muscle tension and decreases stress hormones”. They go as far to say “Crank up the volume and let your mind be absorbed by the music”. Oh yeah …I’m gonna be crankin’ up the volume this weekend on In The Mix with HK™. Get ready for exclusive HK remixes on hits from Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi, Demi Lovato, blackbear, Justin Bieber, Trevor Daniel, Camila Cabello and Doja Cat. I’m spinning in new releases from Benee, Sofia Carson and J3RZE plus mashups, throwbacks and so much more! We need the magic of music now more than ever so don’t miss a single beat.
