In early 1985, “Forever Young” by Alphaville spent four weeks on the Billboard chart. It peaked at No. 93. In the 40yrs since, the song has been reinvented numerous times. Including a version by Jay Z.  It’s latest incarnation comes from David Guetta and Ava Max.

Hard to believe it’s been over two years since we heard new music from The Chainsmokers. My boys AJR have lent a hand and a vocal chord or two to alternative/Indie group Daisy the Great. Their collab “Record Player” was built on an old hook from Daisy The Great’s song from 2017. It’s crushing on the Alternative charts, and like everything AJR does, it has found a home on the pop charts as well.

ADELE IS ROCKIN’ IT WITH FANS & IN THE MIX WITH HK™

I just love everything I know about Adele. Of course it started with her voice and those gorgeous songs. But Adele the person seems just as captivating.

 

After Covid 19 forced a last minute cancellation to the opening of her Vegas residency, Adele started Face-Timing with super fans in the lobby of Caesar’s Palace. These are fans who spent a lot of money to not only buy tickets to the show, but plane flights, hotel, etc. Even though this was a horrible situation for Adele and her fans, the superstar still managed to turn it into a positive experience and connect even more with her audience. Check out the video.

The singer put $7 million of his own money into this year’s performance. His manager says the Weeknd fronted the money to make this halftime show be what he envisioned. With the highly anticipated musical performances, commercials you actually might want to watch, fun food and oh yeah…the championship football game of the year too, you gotta love Super Bowl Sunday!

AVA MAX & BILLIE EILISH BRING ATTENTION TO MENTAL HEALTH

Billie Eilish and Ava Max are using their celebrity to do good. Both are advocates for mental health in the new “Seize the Awkward” PSAs from the Ad Council and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Eilish and Max encourage talking openly about mental health struggles. Billie’s video highlights the importance of checking in on your loved ones and taking care of yourself. Eilish says “It doesn’t make you weak to ask for help”. Ava’s video reflects on her experiences in public high school after being home-schooled when she ended up eating lunch in the bathroom. She asks fans to “Seek help when you’re not feeling mentally there. Because we’ve all been there and it’s normal”.
