THINGS I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2019

2019 is here and there’s so much great stuff coming at us this year, so here’s my 2019 “looking forward to list” in no logical order… Beyoncé starring in The Lion King live action remake, new albums from Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Hozier and Cardi B. Plus a new album and movie from Sia. A foldable cell phone from Samsung, Lady Gaga at the Oscars, tours from Alessia Cara, Shawn Mendes, Backstreet Boys, Ariana, Spice Girls, and Kelly Clarkson (plus her new talk show), A Star Wars themed park/land at Disney World, Taylor Swift in the movie version of Cats (I mean she’s a natural), and FINALLY finding out who will be sitting on that Game Of Thrones throne!

This weekend I’m looking forward to taking my rightful place on the throne (a little bathroom humor) and on the decks with custom HK remixes of all the current hits - Panic! At The Disco, Five Seconds Of Summer, Zara Larsson, Shawn Mendes & Zedd, Bazzi, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper, Halsey and So Much More! CHARLIE PUTH IS MAKING MUSIC HIS WAY!

Charlie Puth says of his recently released sophomore album “Voicenotes” –“I’ve wanted to make music like this for a very, very long time, but I almost wasn’t, dare I say, allowed?” “The hardest thing was just getting people on board, convincing people that I did write good music. “Granted, I mean, just four years ago my music was not nearly as – in my opinion - good as it is now,” said Puth, “So I don’t blame A&Rs for looking at their phones while they were in meetings with me and half listening to the songs.” “No one wanted to hear too much jazz in pop music”. Charlie wanted to prove that it was possible. “It just took a couple years for me to get better at producing and get better at writing and then I didn’t have to try to explain it to them anymore. I would just say, “Here’s the 3 min. MP3 proving that you can put jazz chords into a pop record and it could do really well on the Billboard Chart.”

But they might have been feelin’ double the chart love if “Wait” went to them rather than Maroon 5. Howie D says “We were one of the few who had the chance…to have the song, but (Adam) had the opportunity to go forward with the track and release it”. Maroon 5 are not only enjoying the success of “Wait” but their new track with Cardi B, “Girls Like You”, just rocketed from No. 94 all the way to No. 4.
