What a week it has been! Miley Cyrus has a new tat and her space knowledge may be in question. Beyoncé always one to surprise, dropped her sixth solo album paired with a one-hour visual accompaniment. I mean who does that??? Hot off appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Entertainment Tonight  Shawn Hook joins me this weekend to chat about Canadian fans vs U.S. fans, the long road to success and so much more! His current track Sound Of Your Heart (clicking over 30,000,000 streams on Spotify) introduced him to America but this Canadian singer, songwriter and producer is no overnight success. At the age of 4, Shawn studied piano at The Royal Conservatory and by high school he was playing piano and trombone in a jazz big band while writing and recording his own music. Shawn went on to the Art Institute in Vancouver to study audio engineering. Then in 2004 he released his first album and his passion for music has been growing ever since!

My passion to bring you the best weekend party soundtrack is in overdrive! Sparks will be flying when I drop the needle on custom HK remixes of Zayn, G-Eazy featuring Bebe Rexha, Gwen Stefani, Usher and Mike Posner! I’m also spinnin’ new bangers from Ariana Grande, Jason Derulo and AlunaGeorge! Plus my exclusive interview with Shawn Hook is gonna be off the hook (pun totally intended)! It’s all going down right here this weekend!

Grace is the 19 year old Australian, singer songwriter who is making noise with her rendition of You Don’t Know Me, the 60’s hit that was originally produced by Quincy Jones for Lesley Gore. After meeting Grace at a charity benefit and hearing her sultry moody voice, Jones suggested the two hit the studio to remake You Don’t Know Me. Amazingly, Grace was exactly Gore’s age when Quincy produced the hit for her. On this go round G-Eazy adds his rhymes, pumping this iconic feminist anthem up with some 21st century flava. I’m gonna be pumpin’ up the jam this weekend when I remix the remake!

Get ready to turn the volume up when I bust the groves with exclusive HK remixes on Justin Bieber, Twenty One Pilots, Shawn Hook and Flo Rida. Not one to EVER forget the ladies – Selena, Ariana, Iggy, Sia and of course Grace will be lighting up the decks with their hot singles! And that is just getting the party started! Don’t miss a single banging beat!

Rihanna’s track Work featuring Drake has captured the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 for 7 weeks in a row! When those two get together two things always happen, the music is on point and the romance rumors fly. Their on again off again relationship always has us guessing. One thing that is without question is that the Work video is steaming HOT! Do you think it's good acting or have Rihanna and Drake hooked up again? Check it out right here and hit me up with your thoughts! Then check out the slammin’ custom remixes I’m cueing up for your weekend on In The Mix with HK™!

I’ll be workin’ the decks with exclusive HK remixes on Troye Sivan, G-Eazy & Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers & Daya, Lukas Graham and more! I'm also featuring new joints from some of your favorite artists and a few throwbacks totally re-imagined.

Lukas Graham lived in Buenos Aires and New York after high school but eventually moved back to his home of Denmark to start the band which bears his name. After the unexpected loss of his father, Graham began channeling his grief through songwriting. The result of that process is 7 Years. Graham says in an interview with USA TODAY- “It was definitely cathartic to write – it’s weird to describe what it’s like to lose a parent”. Regarding fan responses to the song he says – “most are quite positive, but some people find it very sad and dispiriting, where I find it empowering. It’s supposed to give you life energy”. 7 Years has certainly resonated with many fans as it is #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Which is perfect timing for the release of their self-titled album dropping today.

It’s been five years since posting one of the band’s first songs on YouTube but this is the year that Graham describes as “amazing”. Also amazing are my plans for remixing 7 Years this week on In The Mix with HK™.

No April foolin’ going on here just straight up jams! This week I’m featuring exclusive HK remixes on Fifth Harmony, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots, Taylor Swift and many more. Plus brand new bangers from Melanie Martinez, Iggy Azalea and Xenia Ghali. There’s also gonna be a mind blowing re-imagined Beatles track. You heard me! And you don’t want to miss it! It’s all going down right here this weekend on In The Mix with HK™!
