CRAZY STUPID WEEK IN MUSIC!

As Prince said…"Let's Get Crazy". Although, I don't think he had the following in mind. Shakira, who I love and has a great voice, performed her new song "Empire" (which I think is a monster hit) on The Voice. Here’s where it gets crazy…she’s a judge on a hit music competition show and she lip-synced! I'm sorry people, but that just doesn't send the right message to contestants and viewers alike. Especially when this little pint sized momma can sing her a_ _ off. Come on…really? 

If you don't think that's crazy I've got some stupid for you. An old recording engineer who worked with Jay Z back in the day tried to extort $100, 000 from the hip-hop Don. Apparently he was holding on to master recordings worth an estimated 15-20 million dollars and he reached out to cut a deal. They setup a meeting at the storage facility where the tapes were being held and the only people there to greet the would-be extortionist were the cops. Dah! Do you think the Roc-a-wear tycoon was gonna go along for that ride. No! Now the courts will decide what happens to those masters.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH CHRISTINA PERRI

Christina Perri went from waitress to superstar back in 2010 when her single, "Jar of Hearts", blew up after it was featured on the television show So You Think You Can Dance. The single went on to sell over 3 million copies in the United States and was a hit around the world. In 2011 her debut album, Lovestrong, was released. Then in 2012, she wrote and recorded "A Thousand Years" for the film and soundtrack of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The song went on to be certified 4× platinum. Perri's second studio album, Head or Heart, was released on April 1, 2014 and Its lead single, "Human", is currently jumping up the charts. And now this busy lady is on tour.

This week she takes time out of her busy schedule and tour  to talk with me about her personal approach to song writing and more. I'll also unleash my custom HK remix on "Human".

ANOTHER PARIS HILTON ALBUM...REALLY!

Remember Paris Hilton's album from 2006? Don't feel bad…you and the other 99.99% of people on planet earth don't either. But, that's not stopping Paris or her new label – Cash Money from spending a ton of money on her next musical outing. I know Paris can't sing a lick and even though she's currently touring as a DJ I hear she can't mix with a blender. We all know Paris is known for one thing and one thing only – being Paris. Ok, two things…that porn video! Kinda like her old girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, who she helped introduce to the world. Here's the amazing thing…don't be surprised to hear some monster hits come off this album project. With her coin, Lil Wayne, the Cash Money Family and producer Afrojack behind the knobs chances are there's gonna be some bangers!

Until we get something of hers to nibble on later this year, I'm gonna fill your ear canal with sonic bliss. PINK ON TOUR AND IN THE MIX WITH HK (Photos)

I've had the pleasure of seeing more than my fair share of concerts. Consuming the quantity of music I do, as a fan and listener, as well as a passionate patron of the arts and professional in the biz, means I could even be jaded. So, when I go to a concert and get blown away, it's the thing I can't stop talking about all week and I want to tell everyone. This week I got to see Pink. Trying to describe this concert is like telling someone to imagine a burlesque show, Cirque Du Soleil, a pop diva rock concert and a ballet meets the gang from "Step Up" all rolled up into one nice package. The fact that Pink has so many hits (which many have forgotten) keeps this two hour extravaganza going at a frenetic clip. The whole time she's belting out these hits, one after another,  she's dancing and doing aerial stunt work that would make a professional gymnast and stunt woman proud. All without a net. I mean she's like 10 stories high swinging from a silk or cable and if something goes wrong it's lights out…dead!

Her voice was pitch perfect. Never shaky, out of breath or straining and considering all the stunt work she has to be in olympic type shape to pull this off. And unlike many other pop stars with highly choreographed tours who opt to lip sync, Pink appeared to be singing live the whole time – with the help of a great backup team.

In honor of her stamina and performance I'm gonna be bringing it this weekend. It's time to sweat people.
