Madonna And Sabrina Carpenter Bring Their Love

Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter team up on the lead single from Madonna’s new album. Is it a legit banger…or just another case of a post-peak artist tapping into a younger pop star’s fandom? Maybe it’s both. Either way, I’ve got an exclusive HK remix this week on In The Mix With HK™.

Plus, brand-new music from Jennifer Lopez and David Guetta, John Summit, Bebe Rexha, and Charli XCX. And if you’re craving the classics, I’m throwing it back with Michael Jackson, Gwen Stefani, and Pitbull—plus so much more.

SUPER BOWL WEEKEND - SUPER MUSIC ON IN THE MIX WITH HK™

We all love the BIG GAME, but don’t underestimate the entertainment for heating up the field! First, there’s the singing of the National Anthem. Demi Lovato, hot off of slaying it with her Grammy performance, will do the honors this year. Demi may be the first to musically score but the actress, singer, dancer, producer and business woman, Jennifer Lopez is set to be the halftime MVP alongside three time Grammy winner Shakira. With the killer halftime show, commercials you actually might want to watch, fun food and oh yeah…the championship football game of the year too, you gotta love Super Bowl Sunday!

I’ll give you another reason to love Super Bowl weekend. I’ve got possession of the perfect soundtrack to kick things off! It’s gonna be a party blitz with exclusive HK remixes on Maroon 5, Tones and I, Camila Cabello,  Dan & Shay with Justin Bieber, Blackbear, 5SOS, Harry Styles, Public, Black Eyed Peas and so much more! I’ll be punting mashups and new beats that are sure to score! You never know how the big game will turn out but I know we’re gonna be turnin’ it out this weekend on In The Mix with HK™!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

THE MELDING OF MUSIC's POP STARS AND MOVIES

Recording artists becoming movie stars is nothing new. But it is crazy amazing for a successful pop artist to become a critically acclaimed actor. From Cher, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand and Jennifer Hudson taking home Oscars to Lady Gaga, Queen Latifah, Mary J Blige, Bette Midler, Diana Ross, Mark Wahlberg and Will Smith having Oscar nominations for their acting chops, the double threat is real. Hell, there’s been great performances from recording artists on screen from the likes of Justin Timberlake, Prince, Mariah Carey, Elvis Presley, Ice Cube, Harry Styles, Lenny Kravitz, Beyonce, Eminem, Rihanna and many more. This year Pop stars are once again taking on the immense challenge of the big screen. Ed Sheeran’s playing himself (ok, not as great of a challenge as some roles…but still) in the Beatles inspired rom-com, “Yesterday”. Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B and Lizzoare in the modern Robin Hood/stripper (yes I just put those words together) story, “Hustlers” out this September. And the much anticipated movie musical “Cats”, set to drop in December, will star Jennifer Hudson, Jason Derulo and the “could she be cast more perfectly”, Taylor Swift.

This weekend I’m taking on the best party music challenge with exclusive HK remixes of some of these recording artists turned movie stars. Get ready to turn up the volume on remixes of hit tracks from Ed Sheeran, Lizzo and Taylor Swift. Plus I’ll be mashing in mashups and blending bangers from Shawn Mendes, Halsey, Bazzi, Katy Perry, Jonas Brothers, Ellie Goulding, Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars, Panic! At The Disco, Billie Eilish and so much more!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

MUSIC IS DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

Music knows no gender, race/ethnicity, religion, beauty, age or sexual orientation. It has no boundaries or limits and that’s just another reason to LOVE listening to it. This week I’m planning an all-inclusive musical throwdown to kick your weekend into overdrive. Get ready for custom HK remixes on Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, Halsey featuring Big Sean, Charlie Puth, Liam Payne and J Balvin, Tom Walker, Zedd with Maren Morris and Grey. Plus new jams from Bryce Vine, Jennifer Lopez, BTS, Dennis Lloyd and so much more! I can’t wait to play with a mashup of Imagine Dragons “Whatever It Takes” and rework a couple classics that will have you sayin’ “Oh my Lord”!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

MOUTHING OFF!

Freedom of speech is wonderful. It's one of the many things that makes this country great and what I'm about to do right now! Computers, the internet and social media have made the megaphone we're all speaking through a billion times bigger. Now that we have this power at our fingertips it's easy for people to have many a mis-step. Especially those that live in the public eye and under close scrutiny. Case in point – politicians, movie stars, music stars etc. From Chris Brownand Justin Bieber tweets to the latest Amanda Bynes meltdowns not a day goes by where someone isn't mouthing off and we all hear about it. This week it was Kanye West, albeit through an old fashioned media channel like the New York Times. But it was the posting of that interview on the internet that sent the blogosphere ablaze! Kanye, who gave a rare interview to the paper as he starts promotion on his new album, referred to himself as the Michael Jordan of the music business and the Steve Jobs of the internet. Kanye has some amazing statistics, including 21 Grammy Awards. That's right, you heard that correctly, bet you didn't know that. But yezzy constantly feels slighted. In his mind he's never gotten credit for the work he's done. What's up with that? I'm curious to hear your opinion. Please let me know!

Now let me mouth off about this week's show. Don't you dare miss it! I'm gonna set your sonic world on fire. This show is HOT!!! All new remixes on your favorite hits and it's all mixed together into one non-stop crazy throwdown. I can't wait for you to hear what I've done to Daft Punk - "Get Lucky", Nikki Williams - "Glowing", Demi Lovato - "Heart Attack" and a bangin' re-imagined version of a classic. I got all your requests for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Avril Lavigne and Selena Gomez so I got you covered. Some special HK tasty treats will be my mashup of Ed Sheeran - "Lego House" with Justin Timberlake - "Mirrors,  plus my new take on Emeli Sande' - "Next To Me", Bruno Mars - "Treasure" and Jennifer Lopez – "Live It Up". There's plenty more so come hang with me in the DJ booth.

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

OFF THE CHAIN!

Despite still feeling the wind knocked out of me from last week's Game of Thrones, I am so excited about all the music, production and remixes I have been working on!

How can I say this best? Oh yea…this weekends show is off the MOTHER ******* chain! No. Seriously! If the Red Wedding episode left you in pain and anguish – this edition of IN THE MIX WITH HK™ will leave you exhausted. I'm bringing re-imagined, re-produced, remixed versions of all your favorite hits. I'm talking a mad crazy version of Ke$ha - "Crazy Kids", my don't even think about stopping us version of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - "Can't Hold Us" and "Same Love" and if you think you love Maroon 5 - "Love Somebody", then you're gonna have an HK eargasm when you hear what I'm gonna do to it. And that’s only some of what I've got planned for the first set. No matter where you are or what you're listening on do not miss this week's show. Imagine Bruno Mars - "Treasure", Jennifer Lopez - "Live It Up", Selena Gomez - "Come & Get It", Florida-Georgia Line - "Cruise" and Fall Out Boy - "My Songs Know What You Did" all pumped up, mixed together and commercial free. That's right people! COMMERCIAL FREE music sets. Robin Thicke, Daft Punk, Icona Pop, Anna Kendrick, Pink, Pitbull, Rihanna and Calvin Harris all going straight through your ear canal uninterrupted. Ahhh!!! Sonic bliss all weekend long!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

A MAD CRAZY WEEK - TIME TO GET IN THE MIX WITH HK

If you're like me you might feel exhausted by now. I know, it's only Thursday. But we've had tornados, wild fires, flash floods, Bieber busted again for reckless driving, an Amanda Bynes meltdown  and the Jodi Arias trial is gonna start all over again. Really? that's it, I'm calling it. Everyone take a mental day off on Friday and get ready to party this weekend when I take all your favorite jams and remix them together into one non-stop music mix!

I've been hiding in the lab working on some new sonic twists for your ear canal. No matter what the weather outside I'm heating things up behind the velvet rope. Get ready to hear J-Lo, Pitbull, Will.I.Am, The Biebs, Rihanna and Jason Derulo like you've never heard them before. Plus Ariana Grande, Mac Miller, my new fave "Come & Get It" from Selena Gomez and the hot new track "Chloe" from Emblem3. Don't worry – I wouldn't think of letting you go without exclusive HK ear-gasims on Kelly Clarkson, Zedd, Little Mix, Krewella, Maclemore & Ryan Lewis, Emeli Sande' and more!!!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

MUSICAL SPRING CLEANING!

Well it looks like American Idol is cleaning house. Even the "dawg" is getting the boot. With declining ratings and competition from The Voice – with it's better talent and friendlier judges (who actually love what they're doing and each other),  Idol producers have decided it's time for a reboot. As of now the only one standing is media mogul and host Ryan Seacrest. Has America lost love for its Idol? Over in the competition's camp Shakira is out at The Voice and Queen B Christina Aguilera will return next season!

Here at In The Mix with HK™ we've done some spring cleaning of our own. New gear, software updates and a bevy of new beats and remixes to help you get your spring swerve on! Oh yeah! I'm talking a sonic landscape filled with Icona Pop, Jason Derulo, Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Justin Timberlake. I know what you're saying…"HK we want more of your seriously crazy good remixes on Demi Lovato, Zedd, Krewella, Little Mix and Imagine Dragons". Don't worry…I got all that plus new heaters from Jennifer Lopez, Carly Rae Jepsen, Selena Gomez, and Emblem3.

It's all going down this weekend! And don't forget - it's all back to back and beat to beat commercial free music sets when you're In The Mix with HK™.

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.
