NEW TRACKS ARE DROPPING LIKE LEAVES

Some of our favorite powerhouse artists dropped singles this month as we wait in anxious anticipation for their next albums. It’s been 4 long years since Bruno Mars gave us his sophomore album and man am I ready for #3 . Mars dropped 24K Magic, the first single and title track of his new album slated for release next month and fans couldn’t be happier. Also due for an album are Maroon 5. They just dropped Don’t Wanna Know featuring seven time Grammy award winning artist Kendrick Lamar and it’s already blazing up the charts. Three years have passed since John Legend’s last album warmed our hearts. He recently released the first track Love Me Now from his upcoming album, Darkness and Light, due out later this year.

NICK JONAS GOES HOLLYWOOD WITH A SIDE OF BACON

Nick Jonas may have just turned 24 but he has, what some would consider, a lifetime of accomplishments and a whole lot goin’ on. He’s recently wrapped up his acclaimed Future Now Tour with Demi Lovato in LA, performed his latest track Bacon on The VMA’s and The Late Late Show with James Corden. Just Monday Jonas attended the New York premier for the new James Franco-produced film Goat (opening this weekend), which he stars in and word is he gave an outstanding performance. What’s next for this singer/songwriter, guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, actor? He’s is off to Hawaii to start shooting Jumanji with Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. Despite Nick’s love for acting he says that music is still his passion.

WHO IS ZARA LARSSON?

Zara Larsson is the 18 year old Swedish singer and songwriter with a voice described as somewhere between Rihanna and Lorde. Zara’s big break came at the age of 10 when she won the Swedish version of Got Talent. Since then she’s inked a record deal, had a triple –platinum single and several top 10 hits at home. But Ms. Larsson's song Never Forget You (featuring MNEK) is what really made noise for her in the US. She continues to bring the goods as a featured artist on Tinie Tempah’s hot new single Girls Like.

I caught up with Miss Jackson in the middle of her Unbreakable World Tour and to say that Janet Jackson is a legend is an understatement. The tour is in support of Janet’s long awaited album of the same name (her first release in seven years). It is also her 7^th album to go to No. 1. Her concerts are selling out and to top it off Janet’s been nominated to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. This tour gives fans exactly what they want. X AMBASSADORS GET IN THE MIX WITH HK

X Ambassadors the alt-rock pop ensemble from up state NY have a huge hit on their hands with their track Renegades. Sam Harris (singer/songwriter) describes the band as “a group of brothers, best friends and family who’ve been through so much together”. Sam met Guitarist Noah Felshuh on their first day of kindergarten and became best friends. While attending New York City’s The New School, Sam and Noah met drummer Adam Levin in the dorm. Keyboardist Casey Harris is Sam’s older brother. Blind since childhood Casey was making a living as a professional piano tuner and played with local bands prior to joining the group. The combination of friends and family is proving to be a winning recipe for this wickedly talented group. This week I sit down with X Ambassadors to discuss the turning point of their career, love of hip hop, collaborations and much more.

No, Mizgin is not a new wicked distilled spirt for feminists. Mizgin is a hot female Swedish artist with an intoxicating voice. The video of her promotional single Get You Off spent twelve weeks in the Top 20 of MTV’s Most Popular Music Videos. This Femme Fatal may not be a star in the US yet but she’s been turning heads and blowing up stages around the globe. Mizgin is confident and driven saying, “The only thing that is endless in life is your imagination, so never be afraid to use it and believe in it. If you want something, go get it; no one is going to get it for you. You may get help along the way, but the only one that can truly take you where you want to go is you”.  This lady appears to be on her way.
