AJR - THE BIG GOODBYE

We’ve had AJR on the show, several times now. And I’ll tell you…the Met brothers never disappoint. Whether it’s on record or in person, they always bring their talent and personalities. Many people may not know it, but Adam Met is not only a fantastic musician, he's an extremely bright guy. He has a PHd in international human rights law and sustainable development. I remember he was getting close to completing it during our last interview. Now the boys are back with another great song called “The Big Goodbye”. But don’t worry. I believe they’re gonna be around for a long time.

This week tune into In The Mix With HK™ to hear my EXCLUSIVE HK REMIX on that track and many more. Including Alex Warren, Huntrix, Benson Boone, Myles Smith, Sombr, Disco Lines & Tinashe, the new track from David Guetta, Teddy Swims, Tones & I, and many MORE.

🔥 If it’s hot, if it’s new, and it makes you wanna move… you’re In The Mix with HK™. 🔥

ONE HIT MAN TO ANOTHER WITH MARTIN RODRIGUEZ

I make hits and play the hits. Maritn Rodriguez makes hits of a different kind in Griselda, now airing on Netflix. His portrayal of Jorge “Rivi” Ayala, real life hitman and right hand man to drug cartel heavy weight, Griselda Blanco, is riveting. This week the two of us sit down to discuss the highly engaging Netflix series, how he researched the role, his beginnings, and passion for acting.

That passion continues musically speaking. With EXCLUSIVE HK REMIXES on Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, AJR, Eminem, Tyla and MORE! I’ve also got this week’s biggest HITS and I’m even throwing in some killer classics with a new twist.

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

ARIANA GRANDE BACK - YES, AND?

Courtesy Republic Records

Lot’s of heavyweight hitters are back with new music this week, and many of them are surrounded in controversy. J-Lo, Lil Nas X, and Ariana Grande all dropped new singles. As is always the question with Jennifer Lopez, will her relationship with Ben Affleck last this time around? Lil Nas X is raising eyebrows for the visuals in his video for his latest single, and it seems Ariana Grande lost over 400,000 followers on social media after her new single dropped days ago. Now 400k seems like an awful lot of people, and it is, but it won’t put a dent in her 380 million stalwart fans. So what is it about the lyrics of the song that pissed off so many people?

I’m spreading nothing but love and awesome musical vibes this weekend. Tune in to hear all your favorite hits like you’ve never heard them before. I’m talking never before heard remixes on Taylor Swift, Teddy Swims, Tate McRae, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Tyla, AJR, Kenya Grace, and much MORE! I’ve also got killer throwbacks and all that new music of course!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

LIZZO GETS HER OWN DOCUMENTARY AND REMIX

Lizzo is getting her own documentary. The film will explore “the journey of a trailblazing superstar who has become the movement the world desperately needed just by being herself. The HBO Max documentary shares the inspirational story behind her humble beginnings to her meteoric rise with an intimate look into the moments that shaped her hard-earned rise to fame, success, love and international stardom.” And to celebrate I’ve got a brand new remix of “2 Be Loved” this week on In The Mix with HK™.

Music historians will probably want to document this week’s show, as it’s going to be Epic. The party will be poppin’ with HK EXCLUSIVES on Elton John & Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Harry Styles, Kx5, Armani White, Lewis Capaldi and MORE! What’s that? You want the new bangers from Sam Smith & Kim Petras, AJR, Cheat Codes & Russell Dickerson, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez & Rema. No worries, I got you!!!

JUSTIN BIEBER SETS NEW RECORD & IS HERE TO ‘STAY’

At the age of 27 Justin Bieber is officially the youngest solo artist to land 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The title was previously held by Drake at the ripe old age of 28 back in 2015. The song that locked this milestone for Bieber was “Stay”, his track with The Kid Laroi. At 17, and with the hits he’s been droppin’, we may be talking about Laroi breaking records soon.

This weekend I’m talking about spinnin’ records! I’ve got a sick mashup of Laroi and Bieber’s out of the box smash Stay ready to mix in with exclusive HK remixes on hits from Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Duncan Laurence, Tones And I, AJR and Dua Lipa. Plus new beats from Maroon 5, Anne-Marie & Niall Horan, Billie Eillish, Post Malone, the latest #1 from BTS and So-Much-More! It’s an all-out party jam ready to spin.

DUA LIPA’s HIT JUST KEEPS LEVITATING

Dua Lipa’s Levitating ascends to the top of two Billboard radio charts. Which is no surprise except that it debuted on the chart back in October 2020, totally fell off the chart for two months and then had a very uncommon bounce back in May. The revival of the hit track is attributed to Dua’s killer Grammy performance and love from TikTok.

I’m showin’ all kinda love for Lipa’s Levitating this weekend as I’m featuring a custom HK remix of that chart topper. Plus remixes on hits from Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo, Masked Wolf, Cardi B, Ducan Laurence, Marshmello featuring Jonas Brothers, Billie Eillish, AJR, BTS and so much more! I can’t wait to spin in new music from P!nk, Calvin Harris, Cheat Codes and Major Lazer with Sia. I’m pulling out massive mashups and some sick throwbacks for Dad! It’s the first weekend of Summer and this party is going to be HOT!

BTS BLASTS TO #1

BTS dropped their second English single and it’s spreading all over the world like Butter on hot toast. It’s already broken five world records. My favorite is most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours with 108 million views. In the first hour alone it had almost 19 million, about the same as the entire country of Chile watching the video in the first hour. So it’s no surprise that Butter debuted as the #1 song in the country. Making this BTS’s fourth #1 hit.

Hits and more hits, like you’ve never heard them before, are what I have on deck for you this weekend. I’m droppin’ the needle on fire remixes of chart topers from Olivia Rodrigo, The Kid Laroi, Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X, Masked Wolf, Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, AJR, Cardi B, and of course BTS. Plus monster mashups, colossal classics and new beats that will have your speakers saying “thank you”. Weekends are party time and I have your perfect party soundtrack ready to get things popping.

THE GRAMMY EFFECT IN THE MIX with HK™

The Grammys may be over but for the artists that performed and/or won it’s the gift that keeps on giving! Harry Styles who performed and won for Watermelon Sugar got a 94% bump in sales since the big night. Also Billie Eilish, who took Best Record  for everything I wanted, saw an increase of 812%. But none as high as Mickey Guyton whose sales of her country song Black Like Me jumped by more than 13,000%. I’ve got custom HK remixes on hits by Billie and Harry ready to spin in this week’s show. OLIVIA RODRIGO'S “DRIVERS LICENSE” HITS THE FAST LANE

Olivia Rodrigo’s track Drivers License is not a typical debut single. It’s a 17 year old singer-songwriter’s first single that upon release debuted as the #1 song in the country while shattering multiple streaming records and creating an unprecedented phenomenon. “This High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” star who’s currently filming the shows second season says the whole whirlwind success has been unexpected and surreal. “But I truly am just the same 17-year-old girl doing statistics homework in my bedroom”. Well Olivia may feel the same but that blistering post-breakup power ballad has, almost overnight, turned her into one of the biggest pop stars on the planet!

Olivia is just one of the many big pop star tracks I’m remixing on In The Mix with HK™ this weekend! On deck are custom HK remixes on hits from Jason Derulo, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, Tate McRae, Dua Lipa, AJR, Saweetie and Doja Cat. Plus fresh new jams, party maker throwbacks and massive mashups! Don’t miss a single beat!

BTS & MARIAH CAREY ARE MIXING IT UP

This weekend I’m mixing BTS’s global smash with the #1 song in the country; Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas is You. Although from a different time and place those songs go together like Christmas and giving. Mariah’s track will certainly keep on giving to her, her kids, their kids and probably Mariah’s great grandkids. Written by Carey and Walter Afanasieffthose royalty checks just keep on coming. Three years ago All I Want For Christmas is you was reported to bring in over $60 million in royalties alone since its 1994 release.

I’m ready to hand out some early musical presents from BTS and Mariah plus custom HK remixes on hits from Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, AJR, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Gabby Barrett, Julia Michaels, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Surf Mesa and so much more! Don't worry though, cause In The Mix with HK™ is gonna kick that holiday stress to the curb. I mean, we’re here for YOU and the experts have our back. Mayo Clinic says, in their “Tips To Tame Stress”, that “listening to music is a good stress reliever because it provides a mental distraction, reduces muscle tension and decreases stress hormones”. 24KGOLDN TURNING 20 AND #1

Golden Landis Von Jones better known as 24KGoldn has reason to celebrate. On Friday he turns 20 and his track Mood, featuring Iann Dior is the #1 song in the country…again. But Goldn almost didn’t pursue music. As a child he did commercial acting and was in Lunchables, Honda and Blue Diamond Almond commercials. Then Goldn was studying finance and loving campus life at USC . He says “Before I realized I could do music professionally, my whole plan was to become a hedge fund manager. Thank God I didn’t do that.”  We’re all glad Goldn took the singer, rapper, songwriter road.

This weekend I’m takin’ the road to party town with a custom HK remix on 24KGoldn’s #1 track plus hits from Gabby Barrett with Charlie Puth, AJR, Machine Gun Kelly & Blackbear, Sam Smith, Jason Derulo, Why Don’t We, Justin Bieber and Marshmello. GABBY BARRETT & CHARLIE PUTH HAVE HOPE

Gabby Barrett may have come in third on American Idol in 2018 but she is winning with her new track I Hope. The song was already a huge country music hit when Charlie Puth posted on Insta how much he liked the track and the two teamed up for a new version. Gabby explains “When I wrote it I was writing from a woman’s perspective, and so with him being on it, it kind of shows the men’s perspective too. That both sides get cheated on and it’s not  just a one-sided thing.” Puth says “I fell in love with the song when I first heard it, and to be able to reimagine it with Gabby and the writers and producers and take it to a new place, is really exciting.”

Also really exciting…all the new music, mashups, reimagined throwbacks and custom remixes by yours truly that I have ready to spin for you this weekend.
