Female artists dominated the top of the charts just two years ago. But this year pop music swung male as the guys hit the #1 spot for a whopping 35 weeks. I’ve got them all cued and amped up for you this weekend with exclusive custom HK remixes on The Weeknd, Bieber, Drake, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Pitbull, Jon Bellion and so much more. Adele has been named Billboards #1 Artist of the Year. Her out of the box hit album 25 sold over nine million copies to date and held the #1 spot for ten weeks. Not being outdone Justin Bieber nabs the title of #1 and #2 Song of the Year with, what I consider a really great play on words for a break up song, “Love Yourself” and the try to get back together track “Sorry”. In addition, the so deserving Twenty One Pilots grab Billboards Duo or Group of the Year honors.

I’m turning out exclusive remixes on Adele, the Biebes and TOP for your weekend party soundtrack and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I’ll be droppin’ the needle on custom HK remixes of Bruno Mars, Sia, Jon Bellion, Ariana Grande, One Republic, The Chainsmokers, Hailee Steinfeld and so much more. It’s non-stop bangers and a few sonic surprises!

Are you in need of a one-of-a-kind gift or an ugly Xmas sweater for a party? Do you LOVE music and are looking for an opportunity to give back this season? Some of your favorite big-name artists got you covered. DNCE, and Florida Georgia Line created specially designed ugly sweaters to benefit Musicians On Call (MOC). A nonprofit organization that brought music to the bedsides of half a million hospital patients around the county just this year. Musicians On Call is also auctioning off signed guitars and memorabilia from Ellie Goulding, Kelly Clarkson, Ke$ha, Ed Sheeran, Lin- Manuel Miranda, Nick Jonas and The Weeknd. I’m all about the healing power of music so you know I’m checking out the MOC website. I’ve got my eye on one of those ugly party sweaters, so it looks like I won't have to stop by the thrift shop (sorry Macklemore and Ryan).

As I've been saying for weeks it is party season and that means the friends are down, amps are up, volume is set to shake the house and the jams are ready to tear the roof off the motha! I’ve got your party soundtrack locked and loaded with exclusive HK remixes on Rihanna, X Ambassadors, Alessia Cara, John Legend, Pitbull and Fifth Harmony. Plus new tracks from Daya, Flume, Anne-Marie and so much more! Go on and rock that ugly sweater and get ready for a party you don’t wanna miss.

Little Mix has been a little busy. Last month they released their second book Our World. On November 18th they’re dropping their fourth album - Glory Days and their lead single from that album, Shout Out To My Ex, is this week's Pick To Hit™!

Already a #1 single on the UK chart, Shout Out To My Ex is believed to be a shout out to Zayn Malik. He and Perrie Edwards, of Little Mix, dated for four years until the end of their engagement last year. As Taylor Swift and many others have taught us, nothing makes for a good song like a bad breakup. About Zayn or not this “so over-you anthem” is killer.

Speaking of killer – I've got a slamin’ weekend soundtrack lined up for you! Go ahead and set your volume to "boom boom shake the room" cause it's gonna be epic with my exclusive HK remixes on Bruno Mars, The Weekend, Martin Garrix/Bebe Rexha, Major Lazer/Justin Bieber, Alessia Cara, Maroon 5 and so much more!  Plus new groves from Flume, Bastille and of course Little Mix! Daylight Savings Time is ending or as I like to call it, an extra hour to party is starting! So don’t miss a single beat!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Irish crooner Niall Horan is going his own direction…well, for a little while anyway. Just when we were thinking One Direction bandmate Harry Styles was going to drop some solo beats, Niall banged his out first. Recently, Horan released his surprise solo single This Town and it’s clear he hasn’t left his acoustic ballad skills behind with 1D. But that’s not all Niall’s been up to, he inked a deal with Capitol Records and he’s written all the songs for his first album. Saying that come November he’ll be locked in a studio recording vocals, guitars and all the rest. Horan hopes to have his debut album out early next summer.

I can’t wait to add a few tricks & treats to Niall’s new track. Plus we’ll get the Halloween weekend festivities started with exclusive HK remixes on Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Twenty One Pilots, Coldplay, Rihanna, the Biebs, and so much more! I'm also gonna revisit Mike Posner's hit and you'll swear YOU took a pill in Ibiza. Plus brand new jams and my PICK TO HIT™. It’s a Boo Bangin’ party jam you don’t wanna miss!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Some of our favorite powerhouse artists dropped singles this month as we wait in anxious anticipation for their next albums. It’s been 4 long years since Bruno Mars gave us his sophomore album and man am I ready for #3 . Mars dropped 24K Magic, the first single and title track of his new album slated for release next month and fans couldn’t be happier. Also due for an album are Maroon 5. They just dropped Don’t Wanna Know featuring seven time Grammy award winning artist Kendrick Lamar and it’s already blazing up the charts. Three years have passed since John Legend’s last album warmed our hearts. He recently released the first track Love Me Now from his upcoming album, Darkness and Light, due out later this year.

What do these songs have in common (aside from being great)? They’re all on the list of upcoming exclusive HK remixes to be debuted in this week’s In The Mix with HK™! But wait there’s more… X Ambassadors, Kiiara, The Chainsmokers, Sia, Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris will all be getting a custom HK tweaking!  Plus Part II of our exclusive interview with Alessia Cara and so much more! It’s an all-out weekend party throw down you don’t wanna miss!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Alessia Cara is the 20 year old Canadian singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist who is suddenly everywhere and this weekend she’ll be over “Here” on In The Mix with HK™! Here was the first original song Alessia ever wrote and released. It racked up 50,000 plays in 24 hours and elevated to the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100! Alessia penned that wallflower anthem about a party she attended in her friend’s basement. She says “I felt small and uncomfortable so I asked my mum to come get me”. Glad she stayed long enough to get the whole experience and change her life forever! Alessia tells us a lot more about how that song came to be and her latest track Scars To Your Beautiful.

I can’t wait to share my custom remix of Scars To Your Beautiful. Also coming up in this week’s show are exclusive HK remixes on one of Alessia's previous touring mates Coldplay. Plus Lady Gaga, Twenty One Pilots, Zara Larsson and Ariana Grande. I’ll be bangin’ new beats from Bruno Mars, Bastille and Frenship. And, I plan on crackin' your cranium with a few HK surprises on some old favorites!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Music truly is the universal language! All you have to do is listen to the radio and look at the charts. What's happening now is truly amazing.

Get ready for exclusive HK remixes on the Canadian delegation of Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, The Weekend and Alessia Cara. Reigning from Scotland, Calvin Harris will do it My Way and his London neighbors: Coldplay will bring the Hymn For The Weekend. Cookin’ On 3 Burners and Sia will add their Down Under flava and I’ll be putting my spin on Rihanna’s (the Barbados Princess) smash: Needed Me. Shaggy, our Jamaican feel good buddy, has no worries with his new track That Love and our German friend Zedd is back for part II of our interview and his latest hit Starving. Don't worry! I won’t leave you hungry for more…U.S.A’s gonna represent in full force too! Plus there's this week's PICK TO HIT™ and I'll revisit and re-imagine a throwback classic.

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Zedd has another hit on his hands as the featured producer on Hailee Steinfeld and Grey's infectious track Starving. He sits down with me this week to discuss the very surprising reason he got into Djing, what it's like being a ghost producer for others (will he name names?) and why he thought he could make money in the music business. Zedd certainly is not your typical EDM Producer/DJ. Even though he’s a multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning artist, some may not realize the extent of his vast talent and experience. From early childhood music was a big part of his daily routine. Raised by two classically trained musicians, Zedd began playing piano when only four years old. At times, throughout his childhood he wrote a song a day. By the age of twelve he learned to play the drums, shortly after joined a hardcore/metal trio. As a pre-teen Zedd was composing and producing rock songs in his band's studio. Fast forward to today and Zedd’s gift of musicality, knowledge of various genres, instrumentation, production and composition has make Zedd the extraordinary artist he is. His song credits range from Producer, Composer, Vocals, Keyboards to Mixing, Mastering, Editing and Remixing. Just three days ago Zedd added the League of Legends World Championship theme song Ignite to his list of credits. Apparently not only gamers approve, as Ignite has over 6.5 million views on YouTube!

This week I’ll be playin’ with Zedd’s latest track Starving plus whipping up all the hits you’re hungry for! Get ready to turn the volume up on exclusive HK remixes of The Chainsmokers, Alessia Cara, Cash Cash, Hailee Steinfeld and Kungs vs. Cookin' on 3 Burners! Plus new tracks from The Weekend, Nathan SykesMartin Garrix/Bebe Rexha, and Sia that will have you feelin' the beat! Come on, come on, turn the radio on!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Nick Jonas may have just turned 24 but he has, what some would consider, a lifetime of accomplishments and a whole lot goin’ on. He’s recently wrapped up his acclaimed Future Now Tour with Demi Lovato in LA, performed his latest track Bacon on The VMA’s and The Late Late Show with James Corden. Just Monday Jonas attended the New York premier for the new James Franco-produced film Goat (opening this weekend), which he stars in and word is he gave an outstanding performance. What’s next for this singer/songwriter, guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, actor? He’s is off to Hawaii to start shooting Jumanji with Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. Despite Nick’s love for acting he says that music is still his passion.

This week on In The Mix with HK™ I’m putting my passion to work by adding a little flavor to Jonas’s single, Bacon and that’s just the beginning to my musical buffet! Get ready for exclusive HK remixes on Rihanna, Calvin Harris, X Ambassadors and Lukas Graham. Plus new bangers from Fifth Harmony, Jason Derulo, Ariana Grande, Zara Larsson and so much more. It’s the first weekend of Fall and your favorite hits are gonna be fallen to a brand new beat!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

There have been loads of talented two man groups over the years. But it’s been more than 31 years since two musical duos took the top spots on the preeminent of charts - the Billboard Hot 100. This week The Chainsmokers hold at #1 with Closer and Twenty One Pilots have jumped up to the #2 spot with Heathens . Making this feat even more certifiable is that The Chainsmokers are also sitting at #5 with Don’t Let Me Down and Twenty One Pilots have climbed to #6 with Ride. Too have such incredible, simultaneous success from the same two acts and then charting back to back not once but twice in the top six is a serious epic event! Kudos to these dynamic duos!

I’ll tell you what else is epic!…the weekend party soundtrack I’m getting cued up just for you. I’m cranking out exclusive HK remixes on Adele, Charlie Puth, Kungs, Kiiara, Justin Timberlake and Daya. Plus new tracks from Lady Gaga, Meghan Trainor, Ellie Goulding, Frenship and so…much…more! When the needle drops there’s gonna be no Sitting Still And Lookin’ Pretty. You better stock up on Cold Water cause I got what the Girls Like, and a whole lotta Cheap Thrills. I’m Starving for a party and Pink is not the only one that is Just Like Fire, these decks are gonna be smokin’.

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Zara Larsson is the 18 year old Swedish singer and songwriter with a voice described as somewhere between Rihanna and Lorde. Zara’s big break came at the age of 10 when she won the Swedish version of Got Talent. Since then she’s inked a record deal, had a triple –platinum single and several top 10 hits at home. But Ms. Larsson's song Never Forget You (featuring MNEK) is what really made noise for her in the US. She continues to bring the goods as a featured artist on Tinie Tempah’s hot new single Girls Like.

This weekend I like what I'm cueing up for your all-out party jam. Get ready cause your speakers will be boomin' with my exclusive HK remixes on, Alessia Cara, Justin Bieber, Fifth Harmony, Meghan Trainor and Coldplay. Plus new bangers from Nick Jonas, Mike Posner, X Ambassadors and so much more!

Collaborations have always been a recipe for success in the music biz. Double the talent, double the fan base, double the chance of a hit. These days it seems that team efforts are stronger than ever as they rule over half of the Top 10. This week I’m spinning those musical alliances for double the fun as I bust out exclusive HK remixes on, Charlie Puth & Selena, Chainsmokers & Halsey, Britney & G-Eazy,  DJ Snake & the Biebs,  Sia & Sean Paul, Imagine Dragons ,Lil Wayne & Wiz and that's just getting the decks fired up! Flume’s hit Never Be Like You has been steadily climbing the charts for 20 weeks and just became his first American single to sell over one million units. This week the Australian electronic musician, composer and producer sits down with me to talk about how his new album Skin differs from his debut album Flume, his writing process, what inspires him and what it feels like to have his first platinum selling song in the U.S.

This weekend I’ll be spinning platinum on the platters with excusive HK remixes of Justin Bieber, Twenty One Pilots, Adele, The Chainsmokers, Sia, Katy Perry and so much more. Plus new bangers from Britney Spears, Cash Cash , Alessia Cara and Usher. The mixes are gonna be massive and the party is epic, don’t miss a single beat!

If DJing was an Olympic event Calvin Harris would bring home the gold….again! According to Forbes he tops the list as highest–paid DJ in the world for the fourth year in a row. Raking in an impressive $63 million before taxes in the last year. Getting paid $400,000 per Vegas gig is a big chunk of Calvin’s income. With song writing credits, additional appearances and advertising revenue supplementing his fortune. Tiesto brings in the silver with a little more than half of Harris’s profits. He’s kept busy with 100 gigs over the year and a sweet 7-Up deal. The bronze goes to David Guetta with a mere $28 million in earnings aided by his Vegas Wynn residency. All of this proving a serious need for a career review with my manager.

I’ll be reviewing, reworking and remixing hit tracks by Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna, Pink, Justin Timberlake, Fifth Harmony, The Chainsmokers, Hailee Steinfeld and so much more! Plus new music and a couple throwbacks you won’t see comin’! I’ve got an In the Mix with HK™ party of Olympic proportions coming your way! So light the torch, turn up the volume, set a reminder and call the crew!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Twenty One Pilots continue to dominate with three (count them 3!!!) of their hits well in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100! Their album Blurryface has been on the album chart for a whopping 64 weeks and is still at No.3! The Suicide Squad movie soundtrack (on which Twenty One Pilots has their wonderfully eerie and mysterious track Heathens) is on course for a No.1 debut. And this week Tyler and Josh are back with HK for Part 2 of our exclusive interview. This week you'll learn what their favorite songs are to listen to and perform, how the duo’s new found success effected their family and friends and how they worked through their stage theatrics to get to the elaborate concert spectacle we see today. All this and more coming up this week on In The Mix with HK™!

When I say more I mean more custom HK remixes of all your favorite hits like you’ve never heard them before! Plus more new jams from Britney SpearsAndy Grammer, The 1975 and others! Rest, hydrate and repeat cause the beats are gonna be massive and the party epic!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Hot off their album Blurryface going platinum, a 2016 MTV Video Music Awards nomination for Heathens and Billboard contributing writer Sean Ross (from Ross on Radio) naming Ride “The Song Of Summer”-Tyler and Josh of Twenty One Pilots join HK to discuss their album, and what it was like writing Heathens for the Suicide Squad movie soundtrack and more. Blurryface has propelled this little two man powerhouse into the mainstream with a fierce fan base. Rolling Stone calls them “the biggest group to break out in the past year, also one of the hardest-to-categorize hit acts in recent memory.” Oh yeah, they've also been selling out arenas all over the country including two sold-out nights next week at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Tune in this weekend to check out my pimped out "Ride" when I put my spin on Twenty One Pilots hit track plus exclusive HK remixes on OneRepublic, Pink, Lukas Graham, Meghan Trainor, Nick Jonas, Drake and more! My two turntables are gonna be "Just Like Fire" so lock it in!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.

Drake’s One Dance has been camped out as the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since May (10 weeks). Sia’s smash hit, Cheap Thrills that features Sean Paul, knocked Drake off the throne with her ode to a low cost night out. Making this the first time Sia has worn the #1 crown as an artist and Paul’s fourth time at the top in more than 10 years. It could have just as easily been Rihanna looking down from the tower. Rihanna’s manager had asked Sia to write another Diamonds. Sia sent Cheap Thrills to the Rihanna camp but they passed on it. Here's where I get to brag and say I told you so (why does that feel so good. LOL!). Over six months ago I wrote a blog about Sia's new album consisting of songs that she wrote for other artists and all had been rejected. I went on to say…their loss would be Sia's gain! And here she is six months later with the #1 song in the country!

This week I’m putting Sia’s #1 song on In The Mix with HK™ with an exclusive HK remix just for you! I’ll also be upping the watts on hits by Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry, Flume, Fifth Harmony, Coldplay, Twenty One Pilots and so much more! Plus new jams from Major Lazer featuring Justin Bieber and Steve Aoki & Boehm featuring Walk The Moon! I’ve got your weekend party soundtrack all cued up!

Remember…if it's hot, if it's new and it makes you wanna move…you're In The Mix with HK™.
